Looks like Cash Money records picked up another soldier this weekend. After plenty of rumors about The Game signing with them, the deal is finally official. Game will definitely be a good addition to their roster and would make for some dope collaborations. Looking forward to his next single on the label.
It looks like Jay Z’s share in the Brooklyn Nets will end up in good hands, Jason Kidd’s to be exact. Back when Jay bought his share, Jason Kidd was the one that convinced him to do so. So it’s only right that Hov returns the favor and sells his share to the new coach. Jay Z had to sell his share in the Brooklyn Nets in order to be a sports agent. Roc Nation sports is doing better than ever by signing all the best athletes in just about every sport. Their most recent and best acquisition was OKC’s Kevin Durant. Click HERE for the full story.
Looks like getting the next iPhone might not be that tough after all. Apple’s CEO Tim Cook announced that they will be implementing a trade in program for all older versions of the iPhone. What’s that mean for you? Well if you’ve got an iPhone 5 or older when the new model comes out, you can simply trade it in at any Apple store and get the newer version! Pretty dope hu? According to Tim Cook, actual sales of the iPhone from the Apple store are down and most are bought from service providers or online. This system should increase revenue in the actual stores. Alright now this is pretty damn ridiculous. HTC hasn’t been doing too well in the smartphone department so they decided to spend $1 Billion on an ad campaign encompassing Robert Downey Jr. and Iron Man. Seems like quite the reach to get their demo back. Guess we’ll have to sit back and see how much this helps. The $1 Billion amount is to be spent over a 3 year span and commercials will start airing August 15th. Here’s a first look at what to expect.
Not our typical content, but it’s time to shine some light on one of the best CEOs to ever do it, Jeff Bezos. The Amazon founder bought The Washington Post today for $250 million. He’s looking to invent new ways to spread media in the company and had this to say about the acquisition. Click HERE for more info.
“We will need to invent, which means we will need to experiment. Our touchstone will be readers, understanding what they care about – government, local leaders, restaurant openings, scout troops, businesses, charities, governors, sports – and working backwards from there. I’m excited and optimistic about the opportunity for invention.”
No surprise here! We put in work up in the Emerald City. Seattle tops the list of the hardest working cities in America. The equation they used to determine this is pretty detailed, but I’ll let you visit Movoto’s site to see all of that.
1. Seattle, WA
2. Arlington, TX
3. Fort Worth, TX
4. Austin, TX
5. San Jose, CA
6. San Francisco, CA
7. Dallas, TX
8. Virginia Beach, VA
9. Washington, D.C.
10. Houston, TX

There we go! I knew this album was way too good not to do some big numbers. Wale has officially debuted at #1 and sold 158,000 copies in the first week. This was seriously Wale’s best work to date and you can tell by how much he spazzes on each track. Clap for him.
And there it is! Jay-Z becomes an NBA agent and the first person he picks up is super baller Kevin Durant. Not too many details on the deal available yet but I’m pretty sure ESPN will be all over this tonight. We thought Lebron would be first since they’re best friends but this is also a crucial pick up. Stoked to see him as a part of the Roc Nation fam.
Man! Just when you think Diddy is done making moves for a bit, he goes ahead and does something bigger than the move before. We thought him being part of a new water company (AquaHydrate) was huge, but now his REVOLT music network has been picked up by Time Warner Cable. Maybe he’ll bring back a music channel that actually plays music videos like MTV used to instead of shows about teenage pregnancies. We’re excited to see that content that comes from this REVOLT network. Stay tuned for more info.
