New Music Tuesday: 5 Albums to Buy Today
Tuesdays are kinda my favorite day of the week. Aside from the lull of it being the middle of the work week, there is always the anticipation of some great tunes dropping today. This Tuesday specifically, we have some pretty heavily anticipated albums dropping. Here’s a few we say you must get now!
Daft Punk – Random Access Memories
Not much needs to be said of this. 8 years we’ve waited for a new studio album from the greatest duo in electronic music history. Daft Punk’s new album, Random Access Memories
French Montana – Excuse My French
With a slew of successful mixtapes, it only makes sense for us to rock with French. He’s been on every big club hit this year, and he’s got a couple of his own on this album. Check it out.
The National – Trouble Will Find Me
Here’s a band that just doesn’t put out bad music. The National is back with another awesome album, and they continue to impress.
30 Seconds to Mars – LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS
Frontman Jared Leto and crew are back with another album this year, following what would be the longest tour ever by a band, that went for over 2 years long. That’s dedication.
Fast and Furious 6 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
What looks to be the finale of one of the most recognized series in modern memory, and also what looks to be one of this year’s big summer blockbusters, it warrants an album of the same caliber. A compilation album featuring the likes of Ludacris, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, The Crystal Method, Peaches, deadmau5, and so many more, this is a complete soundtrack.

Pharrell – Happy
Pharrell was the executive producer on the soundtrack for Disney’s hit Despicable Me back in 2010, and now he’s back to grace the sequel as well. This new single is from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, and a great song to move us into summer. Won’t make you wait anymore, check below to hear Pharrell’s new jam Happy.

As you may already know, Kanye is lined up to be the next musical guest on Saturday Night Live with Ben Affleck hosting and the anticipation is at an all time high. Here’s the most recent promo for his appearance. Full show is about to be a movie!

All new 45 Minute Kanye West Documentary (Fan Made)
Even though this is a fan made documentary, it’s still a pretty damn good one and has been making the rounds online today. It even landed on the front page of Complex earlier.
“My first intention was to make like a 10 minute video with Kanye quotes and such, but I had so much material so I decided to make it a tad longer. The closest I could get to a real documentary. (We really need one in all honesty).My goal was to capture something from every solo album, and the video is basically chronological. Starting with CD and ending with MBDTF.I entitled it Where The Lonely Kids Go When The Bell Rings (I know that’s not the actual line in Eyes Closed), because I feel like that sums up Kanye’s career – The outsider. The misunderstood genius.Let me know when it’s taken down (I’ll try to re-up), and let me know what you think of it!This took me 5000 hours to make so please be kind. And the sound/video is bad in some parts.The sound is out of sync after a while (yeah it sucks, but nothing I can do about it) – But, apparently if you DOWNLOAD the original source file from Vimeo, the audio is synced..I hope you enjoy it anyway.”

Kanye West shoots for Anchorman 2
Sure the photo above is blurrier than a drunken Friday night with your clique, but that up there is Kanye West on the set of Anchorman 2. Apparently he’s going to be in one of the huge fight scenes, which we can guess is when the two news stations are beefing again. Can’t wait to see the final production, in theaters December.
Tom Cruise officially signed on for “Mission Impossible 5″
It almost seems like we don’t really need another Mission Impossible, but since the movie industry likes to drag these series out as long as possible, it looks like we’ll be getting a 5th one.
