H&M continues it’s highly succesful collaboration campaign with high end designers. This time it is with Maison Martin Margiela (Hov Voice). This collection is sure to bring out the masses of people who are trying to snag these designer pieces at a low price. How do you guys feel about these collaboration’s? Some would argue that it devalues the brands? Others say it is a great way to let people who cannot afford the pieces get a shot at them? Either way here are are some images of the collection that will be dropping November 15th!
Unfortunately Steve Jobs never got to enjoy this amazing yacht named “Venus”, which was given the name after the Roman goddess of love and beauty. “Venus” is roughly 230 to 260 feet long and has a 100% aluminum body which makes it one of the lightest water vessels of its size. What will be done with the yacht hasn’t been announced yet but we’re sure it will go to a great cause. Click HERE for more information.
Looks like Tyga just got himself a new home in Calabasas, CA and spent around $6.9 million. As you can tell from the pictures above and below, this is a pretty dope place. He’s got his own court, pool, gym, 7 bedrooms, 8 baths, movie theatre, spa, waterfall, and much more. Click HERE for more info.
Swatch is a such a slept on brand. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my G-Shocks, but Swatch has been a classic timepiece designer since the 80s with so many iconic pieces. Today, September 14th and tomorrow the 15th, TimeCrafters at the Park Ave. Armory will be showcasing the Blum collection along with introducing the Blum Collection Book for purchase. It’s worth over $6 M’s!
The Blum Collection is one of the largest collections of Swatch watches in the world, which reflects the outstanding story of Swatch. It was sold at a historical amount of USD 6,618,560. The current owner of the Blum Collection, a mainland Chinese collector that wishes to remain anonymous, graciously let Swatch use the collection for exhibition purposes for a limited amount of time.
The Blum Collection was assembled over many years by Swiss businessman Peter Blum and his wife Linda, passionate collectors of Swatch watches since the brand’s early days. The exceptional assembly comprises 4,370 elements, including a large number of prototypes, hybrids and production variants never brought to market. Many of the prototypes date from the extraordinary period prior to commercialisation of the first Swatch watches in the early 1980s, and are thus extremely rare. Among the most interesting and sought-after by collectors are a number of prototypes designed by the American artist Keith Haring, as well as the artist’s legendary Swatch watches Modele avec Personnage, Milles Pattes, Serpent and Blanc sur Noir. Additional rarities include Swatch watches created by artists Mimmo Paladino, Alfred Hofkunst and Sam Francis.
The TimeCrafters exhibit will be open to the public on September 14th and 15th from 10AM – 8PM.
Park Avenue Armory 643 Park Avenue (between 66th and 67th Streets) NYC
If you can’t attend, be sure to check out the Blum Collection book available here: http://bit.ly/BlumBook
Marc Jacobs has been going collab crazy over at Louis Vuitton as of late, and this is just the latest in a great string of collaborations including another Japanese designer, Takashi Murakami. Yasoi Kusama is the next in line, and the luxury brand decided to team up with the 82 year-old artist for this special collection. The collection officially released back in July, and we decided to give you some more info about it now.
Kusama is famous for her use of dots in many designs for her fashion pieces, and this collection will incorporate that ideal to the fullest. The pieces all look fantastic, and provide a very iconic and unique twist to the legendary Louis Vuitton damier pattern.
Visit the Louis Vuitton x Kusama site for more details on the artist and the collection itself. Also peep below a video of the huge statue made for SelfRidge’s pop-up shop in London.
It must be really hard to get away when you’re these two. Jay-Z and Beyonce recently took a break and spent some time with their daughter on this giant yacht. Even though they were on vacation the paparazzi still found a way to get to them. Here’s some more photos.
On Sunday August 26th, eight of the world’s best skateboarders battle it out for cold hard cash and a one-of-a-kind championship Nixon watch and ring; valued at $100k.
Jil Sander recently announced their pre-fall collection for the 2012 season, and it does not disappoint. Raf Simons curated this collection, taking on a varsity, ivy-league theme for the entire collection. Taking inspiration from old sororities and fraternities attire, the collection spins this concept with subtle subliminal messages that were once, and probably still important codes of the Greek system. See more pics from the collection below.
Rick Ross and the entire MMG crew stopped by Drake’s OVO Fest recently to perform and to spend some money on much needed accessories. According to the owner of Vintage Frames, Rozay dropped $27,000 on everything once he was done shopping. Not the biggest surprise coming from the biggest bawse that you’ve seen thus far.
Rick Ross just picked up another Maybach since they stopped being made and according to his dealer Euro Motorsports, Rozay is the only human being alive with 2 Maybach coupes. Guess this is just another way to stunt on all these haters. “God Forgives, I Don’t” in stores tomorrow.
