Chris Paul’s son might have established himself as the cutest kid in the NBA at this point. The camera is always on him at games and he even does press conferences with his dad sometimes. He’s even in this new Foot Locker commercial with both Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. Funny as always. Check it out below.
ESPN is getting strict with their on-air talent and has issued a memo saying that they can’t use the word “suck” or “sucks” anymore while on television.
“Recently, there have been numerous incidents in which the word ‘sucks’ has been used on our air,” the reminder said. “This word is simply not appropriate for ESPN. What you say and the language you use is important for our audience and sports fans of all ages. Please be mindful of this starting immediately.”
Of course Nike made another epic commercial about their new winter gear. This time we’ve got “Winning in a Winter Wonderland”. Definitely one of their best ads. Check it out below.
Wanna know why Drake didn’t attend the Grammy nomination event? Well that’s because he loved Seattle so much that he had to stay and hang out. One of the most publicized events was him hanging out with the Seahawks and giving out “lots of hugs”. Always good to see artists of his caliber give love back to the city. Enjoy more pics below.
It’s been a while since Kobe hit the court for a game, 8 months to be exact. Looks like we’ll be seeing him very soon as ESPN reports Kobe will be playing this Sunday. Hopefully all is well with his achilles and we can see him play out the rest of the season.
The Mariners and Robinson Cano have agreed to terms after several days of communication. The contract, which will give Cano $240 million over 10 years, is one of the biggest in MLB history. There are reports Seattle was under the impression that a nine year, $225 million deal would get the job done, but Cano’s agency (Jay Z himself was present) pushed for 10 years and $252 million, which would have tied A-Rod for largest MLB contract ever. At about 3am this morning right here in Seattle, they finally came to agreement to bring Cano to the M’s. Cano has to pass a physical on Monday and then the deal will be official. Great look for the town!
It seems like 2 Chainz is always on ESPN is some form these days. This time we’ve got him on SportsNation talking about the NBA, best players, and much more. Check out all the interviews below.
Man, Derrick Rose has really had it rough lately. Right when we’re all ready for him to come back and play at his best he gets injured again and has to sit out an entire season. What are we to think? Wait for him again and maybe he’ll come back better than ever? Well that’s what everyone was expecting until he got hurt this time. It’s good to hear though that Derrick Rose himself is still hopeful and has not ruled out playing in the playoffs this season. The Miami Heat are clearly the dominant force in the East with the Pacers, but other than that… what other East Coast team is giving them a run? It would be nice to see D. Rose back at 100% during the playoffs. Guess we’ll just have to wait. Click HERE for the full story.
Guess you gotta get some sings before you can star in a major film. Lebron has been waiting to be the lead in a movie for a long time and will finally get the chance in a new movie called “Ballers”. The film will also star Kevin Hart as James’ little brother who is always living in the shadow of his famous brother. Filming is supposed to start in the Summer once the NBA season is over. Can’t wait to see this one. Click HERE for more info.
Turkish Airlines thought of a pretty dope campaign to promote their flights going to more countries than ever now. They got Kobe Bryant and soccer star Lionell Messi to have a “selfie battle” all over the world with their phones. It gets pretty intense. Check out the full commercial below…
