Trindad Jame$ came into the music industry pretty much overnight and has been on a huge run ever since. He just recently made the cover of XXL Magazine as one of the 2013 Freshman and now got a Gold plaque for his hit single “All Gold Everything”. Here’s the video of him receiving his plaque.
Congratulations to Seattle’s very own Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, their album “The Heist” has officially gone Gold selling over 500,000 copies. This was all done with no major label which make it all much more impressive. Congratulations to the the entire Shark Face camp for their amazing success, the entire city is super proud.
What can we really say about this? Justin Timberlake just shocked the music industry and sold 980,622 copies of his album “The 20/20 Experience” in the first week. So it’s already gone gold and will probably be at platinum status by tomorrow. Artists don’t do numbers like this anymore, unless you put out truly great music and get everyone interested. The marketing behind this album was amazing too, JT performed at the Grammy’s, SNL, and every late night TV show in the world (yes even in other countries).
Tyga stopped by Big Boy’s neighborhood recently to talk about some new music, crashing his $500,000 Lambo Aventador, and remembering lyrics on “Celebration”. At the end of the interview Big Boy bets him $500 that he doesn’t know his verse on the song. Watch to see what happens.
Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant were fooling around at Team USA practice the other day and ended up betting $50,000 to play one on one. Irving has a lot of confidence asking Kobe to play, he is one of the best players in basketball history after all.
Even though Chad Ochocinco didn’t do much for the Patriots on the field this year, he did do a pretty big favor the other day. To help the team stay focused and game-ready, Ochocinco bought the entire team 70 pairs of Dre Beats headphones which cost an estimated $28,000. Let’s hope this investment helps the Pats beat the Giants come Super Bowl Sunday.
The image above is of a new 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 prototype which just recently sold for $300,000. This is a one of a kind concept and it was purchased at an auction. At first most thought this car would not be street legal but some modifications can be made to hit the road. For more info click here.
According to the Los Angeles times home run king Barry Bonds was sentenced today to two years probation with home confinement plus a $4,000 fine. These repercussions stem from giving an evasive testimony to a federal grand jury eight years ago during an investigation of doping in sports. Bonds was charged with several counts of perjury and obstruction of justice for lying during the grand jury’s probe of the Burlingame, California based Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative, or BALCO.
