Nike Roshe Run Summer 2013
It’s pretty safe to say that we’re obsessed with the Nike Roshe Run shoe over here at RKB. So when we found out that the Summer 2013 preview got released, it was a must that we share with our supporters. No official release date yet but stay tuned as we’ll always be updating and these kind of drops.
Nike Air Max 1 2013 London Home Turf Edition
Nike is always up to something, and this one is just another notch on the belt. Their “Home Turf” series debuted last month, and this is just one pair of many in the collection. Alot of these would look great with our new Rich Kids Brand Spring 2013 Collection. Freshness Mag has more information about the Home Turf series:
The term “lifestyle trainers” sounded like an oxymoron to many European at the time. Yet, Nike forged ahead in 1987 and brought the very first Air Max onto the shores of the Old World. While at first deemed by locals as an impossible feat, a following quickly grew in cities like London, Milan, and Paris. A decade after, the Nike Air Max and all of its variations enmeshed themselves onto local subcultures, much like how Air Force 1 became part of streetballers’ ensembles here in the U.S.
To highlight the symbiotic relationship between the three cities and the Nike Air Max family, Nike Sportswear created the “Home Turf” Collection. A total of 12 designs, with each pack of four linking to each city. For London, it is the contrast between modernity and traditions with Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse, the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, the Nike Air Max 1 2013 and the Nike Air Max 95. For the city of Milan, it is able the luxe life and premium craftsmanship with Air Max 97 2013, the Air Max 1, Air Max 97 and Air Max 90. Finally, for Paris, the City of Light, it is about timeless classics and the familiar naval-inspired stripes with Air Max Classic BW, Air Max 90, Air Max 2013 and Air Max 1 Hyperfuse.
The European love affair will start this Friday February 15th, with limited availability at select Nike Sportswear retailers. A general release will take place next month on March 27th.
Daft Punk Announces New Album Title
Arguably the biggest act in Electronica history, Daft Punk has announced the title of their upcoming new album, Random Access Memories and also released a small snippet of some of the music from the new project. Besides the Tron score and soundtrack, it’s been forever since the dynamic duo has released any original material, and it’s long overdue. We can’t wait to hear it. Capitol Hill Block Party 2013 Lineup Announced
Seattle’s favorite party is coming back! The Seattle neighborhood of Capitol Hill celebrates it’s yearly block party once again this year in late July, with so many great bands and artists. This year’s lineup has not been fully announced yet, but this first list is already stacked. Artists like A-Trak and Star Slinger join groups like The Flaming Lips and STRFKR in this year’s lineup, that will play at a number of host venues on the hill from July 26th-28th. Tickets are available now at a discounted price from the Official Capitol Hill Block Party Site, along with any other information you need to know. Get yours now before they sell out!

IN MOTION – Y-3 Qasa
Yohji Yamamoto is always on the cutting edge of stylish footwear and fashion, and his new F/W 2013 looks to continue down that path with some of the freshest sneakers you’ll see anywhere in the world. They’ve already released the video for a new lunar chukka, and today they’ve released the video for the Qasa, a cross-trainer model shoe that has a very unique aesthetic to it. #RKinVegas Recap: Day 1
The picture you see above is currently the view from our balcony at the MGM Signature tower. We’ve all been very busy out here at Magic networking and making all the right moves to push our brand forward and deliver you the best drop yet with the release of our 2013 Spring collection. It’s also been great meeting other brands and seeing young up-n-comers showcasing their product. After being here for only 1 day we’re excited to see all of the new trends coming in 2013.
Since we’re all out here together it was a must that we celebrate recent accomplishments with the brand and truly live out our message of “Rich is not what you have, it’s who you have beside you”. So we headed over to Marquee at night for the Creative Rec party with A-Trak and DJ Vice. Shout out to the good people over at Creative Rec, that was one hell of a night. Thanks for the great time.
We’ve also been recording with a Contour cam while down here so expect some footage sometime after we come back. Now we’re at day 2 and we’ll update with another recap tomorrow. We’re very excited about this 2013 Spring line coming soon and can’t wait to show you entire collection. Make sure to stay updated about the drop as we’ll be revealing more news about the new collection next week.
Sasquatch 2013 Lineup Announced
The Northwest is making their mark on the festival circuit in a major way this year. Sasquatch 2013 will again be held at the Gorge in George, WA, which is about 2 hours outside of Seattle. This year’s lineup will feature a who’s who of acts from across multiple genres, including some Seattle favorites. We’ll see the return of The Postal Service, Macklemore, DJ Fourcolorzack, Nacho Picasso, and Kingdom Crumbs just to name a few local acts on the big stages at The Gorge. From there we have everyone from Toro Y Moi, to Baauer and Steve Aoki, to Mumford and Sons and Vampire Weekend. Sasquatch 2013 will begin on May 24th, and run through May 27th this year.
