Daddy Fat Sacks and Dre 3 Stacks are probably the most iconic, influential, important and incredible duo to ever grace a stage together when it comes to hip-hop music, possibly all music in general. This is a huge breath of fresh air if it’s true. This is all a rumor currently, but there has been much speculation on a new Outkast album in 2014, and with Coachella festival landing in April of that year, it only makes sense. We’ll keep you posted as more info comes out.
We send our prayers and condolences go out to Andre 3000′s family as apparently his mother has been found dead in her home earlier today. No word yet on the cause of death but Atlanta rappers have already been Tweeting their condolences. Follow this story on Twitter as more details surface.
The Great Gatsby will debut in theaters next Friday, May 10th. What many today are excited about though, is the release of an album stream from the soundtrack for the summer blockbuster. Featuring the likes of Jay-Z, Beyonce, Andre 3000, Jack White, Coco O. of Quadron, Lana Del Rey and so many more incredible acts, The Great Gatsby soundtrack looks to be one of the most complete albums of the year. You can listen to the entire live stream directly from NPR. This is the first full version of the Andre 3000 x Beyonce redux of the late, great Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black. Be sure to listen and let us know what you think of the album! We’ll have a review of the movie soon.
This is some great music news to start off 2013. Big Boi of Outkast was originally supposed to appear on Frank Ocean’s track “Pink Matter” from his debut album Channel Orange alongside Andre 3000. While 3 stacks graced the track, he decided that he didn’t want Outkast to reunite on someone else’s album, so Big Boi decided to hold off. It seems as though now, they will be releasing the version with Big Boi as a separate track now that the album has been released. Not sure when they’ll be dropping the song, but it will definitely have the internet on alert when it’s released. Stay tuned…
Since Andre 3000 doesn’t get on too many tracks, this was probably the most anticipated song of T.I.’s new album. 3 Stacks did not disappoint what so ever, T.I. brought the heat too. Here’s “Sorry”.
Seems like it’s been a while since we got to hear from Three Stacks. Here’s his most recent interview with Fuse about Movember, working with T.I., Big Boi’s album, and much more.
Whenever we get to hear Andre 3000′s voice on a track, it’s a must to share with the public. He’s been in and out of the game so much it’s always a surprise when you get him on a track. So here’s Frank Ocean featuring Andre 3000 with “Pink Matter”.
“All is by My Side” is a biopic coming out documenting the early career of Jimi Hendrix and Andre 3000 is going to play the lead role of the rock legend. He was recently spotted shooting a scene in Bray, Ireland. Very good casting for this one as Andre 3000 looks very much like Jimi Hendrix, especially with that fro wig he’s wearing in the image above. Click HERE for more info.
This dropped yesterday at @Converse and is launch video for their new 3 artists, 1 song campaign. 3 Stacks, naturally gets off and James Murphy adds his two cents as well. Kinda interesting to see the Gorillaz in (somewhat) real time! Dope!
Pretty interesting take on how to film this video. None of the artists could come out to be in it but the replacements are hilarious. The best part has to be when the grandpa raps T.I.’s part.
