Ray Lewis added to Ravens Active Roster
That torn triceps muscle must be doing well again because it has been made official that Ray Lewis is back on the Ravens’ 53-man active roster. This was a move the team made so that Lewis can participate in the playoffs this year. The part that sucks, he won’t be active for their game on Sunday against the Bengals. Click HERE for more info.
New Artist to Watch For: BenniB “Journal of a Journey” Mixtape
There are a lot of times when we get random submissions for mixtapes, let’s just say that they’re not always the best ones out there. This time things are different. BenniB is a local here from Seattle but has been making major moves on the East Coast recording and performing in Cleveland and collaborating with producers that work with Machine Gun Kelly, iPhonic, Mac Miller, and many more. His new mixtape “Journal of a Journey” just came out about twenty minutes ago and is a must download. Glad we could put our stamp on this and we wish the best of luck to BenniB as he pursues a career in hip-hop.

Gucci Mane Headed back to the Slammer
Damn I was just starting to feel Gucci Mane ever since Ferrari Boyz dropped with Waka Flocka and now he’s in trouble again? I guess he plead guilty to two counts of battery and will serve a 6 month sentence, pay the woman’s $5,000 medical bills, and pay a $3,000 fine. These rappers need to stop getting locked up. I want more music!
2Pac Covers XXL
2Pac’s back… on the cover of XXL. Be on the look out for this issue as it hits newsstands August 16th. Here’s a little excerpt from the article written about him.
“[Tupac] cared for people,” he said. “That was his main thing. He really cared for people. I think that’s why he would get so upset when people tried to question his commitment, his love for Black women or Black men. The East Coast/West Coast, you know, that’s a fabrication. I don’t have to begin to tell you that. So when that was questioned, it bothered him. Because he would give his heart or soul. He was a giving person. He would give anything to people. He would go in a store. [If there was a] Black man who couldn’t afford a $1,500 pair of boots, he would buy ’em for him. Think that Black man would ever forget Tupac? That’s just the way he is. But I don’t think that he did it for that. He did it because he had it, and he didn’t. That’s the way he is.”
