Not sure how I feel about these shoes quite yet but they seem to have a very interesting colorway going. Almost like a pair of Tim’s basketball shoes. Not sure when these will be hitting the shelves yet as the images of them just surfaced online. Stay tuned for more info.
Alright sneakerheads, here comes another Jordan release. Seems like there’s something new all the time these days from Jordan. This time we’ve got the Jordan 4 Retro “Volt”. This is the first image to surface online and you’ll have to wait for more details to emerge. The last time this model hit the stores was 1989, so I guess this one is pretty damn special. Looks like Drake is starting to make those all-around moves like Jay Z. He’s just been named a Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors and has been brought on for rebranding and business development of the team. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of swag Drake can add to the squad. He’s always been seeing reppin’ for the Raptors since they’re from his home town and will surely get a lot more players interested in playing there kind of like Hov did for the Brooklyn Nets. It looks like all this Twitter beef can lead to some real consequences these days. Wade and Durant got into it recently after the NBA’s top 10 players were announced. After the feud we’ve read a lot of reports that Gatorade will not be renewing their sponsorship with Kevin Durant next week. Click HERE for the full story.
It looks like Jay Z’s share in the Brooklyn Nets will end up in good hands, Jason Kidd’s to be exact. Back when Jay bought his share, Jason Kidd was the one that convinced him to do so. So it’s only right that Hov returns the favor and sells his share to the new coach. Jay Z had to sell his share in the Brooklyn Nets in order to be a sports agent. Roc Nation sports is doing better than ever by signing all the best athletes in just about every sport. Their most recent and best acquisition was OKC’s Kevin Durant. Click HERE for the full story.
What do you do after you win your second NBA title and solidify your position as arguably the best player in the league? Well you make a sitcom about your life on Starz, duh. Lebron James is producing a new show on Starz called “Survivor’s Remorse” that will be somewhat based on his life and making it to the top from nothing. He won’t star in the show of course, but it should still be an interesting project. The story will follow two characters from the streets who attain fame through different avenues and how they deal with the ups and downs of it all. “I think the main thing for me is, first of all, making it out of a place where you’re not supposed to. You’re supposed to be a statistic and end up like the rest of the people in the inner city — [and] being one of the few to make it out and everyone looking at you to be the savior,” James said in a phone interview last week.
This has got to be one of the funniest things we’ve ever seen. Sure Kobe Bryant is a big deal but as a grown ass man you have to be able to compose yourself. This guy just loses it right away.
Blake Griffin has been getting a lot of commercials lately, who would’ve known this guy could be so funny? Here’s a new one with him and Chris Paul called “The Endorser”.
Blake Griffin teams up with “Drain” and makes a pretty hilarious commercial for his new shoes. Kid can’t shoot, but then again Blake Griffin can slam anything within 10 feet of him. Definitely reminds us of the Jordan/Mars commercials. Check it out below.
This is pretty dope. Pictured above is what would have been known as the Lebron 8 “Chicago” if he had made the decision to link up with Derrick Rose in the Windy City instead of joining D. Wade in South Beach a few years ago. The picture is courtesy of sneakerwatch.com and the shoe is obviously a full Chicago Bulls colorway. Oh what could have been.
