As you know Heavy D passed away not too long ago, but his cause of death was never revealed, until now. The legendary rapper died from pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thombrosis. The condition stems from blockage of arteries in the lungs and is usually caused by blood clots that travel throughout the body. This condition usually occurs from long periods of immobility meaning Heavy D wasn’t being very active physically in his life. Heavy D also suffered from heart disease and was only 44.
