16th Anniversary of Tupac Shakur’s Death

Today is a special day in hip-hop as it’s the anniversary of one of, if not the greatest to ever do it passing away, Mr. Tupac Amaru Shakur. September 13th was the day in 1996 that the hip-hop world changed forever. Pac died from a gunshot wound in Las Vegas, Nevada 7 days prior after a Tyson fight. Although there have been many rumors regarding the reason behind the shooting, the person behind it, and even whether or not Tupac is actually dead, the fact remains that his legacy is unmatched, and he is dearly missed in hip-hop.

Back in April of this year, Coachella commissioned a company to create a hologram version of Tupac to perform alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, which gained huge media attention, as the first time we’ve seen Tupac perform in over a decade. It was unprecedented, and crazy to see in action, looking and sounding just like Makaveli himself.

Today we’ll be dropping some videos from Pac throughout the day, along with some of our favorite moments.

Dr. Dre Denies Hologram Tour

So there have been some rumors going around that the hologram of 2Pac that performed at Coachella was going on tour. Dr. Dre clears the air in this next video and says that will not be happening. He was one of the main designers behind the hologram.

A$AP Rocky Brings out Master P At Coachella

For the second weekend of Coachella A$AP Rocky decided to go ahead and bring out Master P and some of the no limit soldiers after performing his new single “Goldie”. They performed some of their classics and even dedicated a song to Trayvon Martin. Here’s the footage.

Rihanna Rolls a Blunt on Security Guard’s Head

So we’ve already told you the news about Rihanna just being in the crowd at Coachella, well it gets even funnier. Apparently while rolling up her trees she used her security guard’s head as a flat surface and took a picture of it. I guess it was the most efficient way at the time?

Rihanna Just Chillin in the Crowd at Coachella

This is so cool. Just when you think celebrities are too good to do the “normal people” stuff you see Rihanna in the crowd at Coachella chillin’  and smoking a blunt just like everybody else. I’m sure she had a bunch of security somewhere around there but still, 90,000 people is a huge risk. This was during Dre and Snoop’s set of course. Here’s the capture.
