Looks like a lot of these cats are getting locked up today. Now Jimmy Henchman has been found guilty on all drug charges and could be facing LIFE in prison. The main charge was for cocaine distribution but it sounds like other charges will arise from this.
SANTA MARIA, Calif. — Police say a drug dealer mistakenly sent messages to a California central coast police officer in an attempt to sell methamphetamines.
The Santa Maria officer notified Santa Barbara County sheriff’s detectives about the errant text messages early Tuesday. The officer and detectives then set up a meeting with the alleged drug dealer.
Sheriff’s spokesman Drew Sugars says they arrested 39-year-old Reymundo Carlos Escobedo and seized about 2 grams of methamphetamine.
A news release says 37-year-old John Martin Silvera, who is Escobedo’s suspected methamphetamine supplier, also arrived and was arrested with about 7 grams of methamphetamine.

Yes the same man that blew (literally) away his career and revived it (somewhat) is back at it with another cocaine charge. Super producer Scott Storch was arrested in Las Vegas on February 4th for cocaine possession. He was later released after posting $5,000 bond. Photo courtesy of TMZ.
Well this is a story in a half. Former baseball player Dennis Boyd from the 80′s came out today and admitted being under the influence of cocaine for 2/3 of his games. He was a pitcher on the Boston Red Sox, Expos and Rangers. Here’s what Boyd had to say about his drug use.
“There wasn’t one ballpark that I probably didn’t stay up all night, until four or five in the morning, and the same thing is still in your system,” he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 in Fort Myers, Fla. on Wednesday. “It’s not like you have time to go do it while in the game, which I had done that…Some of the best games I’ve ever, ever pitched in the major leagues I stayed up all night; I’d say two-thirds of them. If I had went to bed, I would have won 150 ballgames in the time span that I played. I feel like my career was cut short for a lot of reasons, but I wasn’t doing anything that hundreds of ball players weren’t doing at the time; because that’s how I learned it.”
Looks like Tim Tebow isn’t the only one winning these days, aside from yesterday’s game of course. Earlier this month a drug sniffing dog named Tebow helped the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation catch a guy trying to smuggle a kilo of cocaine through Orlando International Airport inside of a toy. The man now faces federal charges for selling a controlled substance.
Uh oh… more drug stories. According to The Chicago Tribune, Bears receiver Sam Hurd accepted a kilogram of cocaine from a confidential informant and an undercover agent posing as a drug supplier. Hurd was charged with conspiring to purchase a kilo of cocaine with intent to distribute. At the Wednesday night meeting Hurd had set up to buy anywhere from 1 to 5 kilos of cocaine and 1,000 pound of marijuana for distribution in the Chicago area. The Bears issued this statement about the incident.
“We are aware of Sam’s arrest and are continuing to gather details surrounding it. We are disappointed whenever these circumstances arise. We will deal with them appropriately once we have all the information.”
Sad, sad, sad. All too sad. My heart goes out to her family, and all of her fans. Entirely too soon, and I know that she was very troubled, but damn…read the full story below.
