Jay-Z releasing “Live in Brooklyn” EP
This has to be some of the greatest news ever for hip-hop. Jay-Z has put out live albums before and they always do very well. This time he’s releasing a “Live in Brooklyn” EP which was recorded during his 8 performances at the Barclays center in New York. Here’s the news…
To commemorate the closing night of his historic sold-out 8 (eight) show run opening Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, JAY Z is releasing “LIVE IN BROOKLYN,” a live 8 (eight) song audio /visual optic EP. “LIVE IN BROOKLYN,” filmed and recorded during the Saturday, October 6th concert will be available Tuesday, October 9, 2012 exclusively on iTunes.
Frank Ocean speaks about Coming Out (Article)
As you may already know, Frank Ocean of Odd Future recently came out to the public right before his album “Channel Orange” was released. The Guardian magazine got to catch up with him a few days ago and talk about that experience, here’s what Ocean had to say.
“A lot of people have said that since that news came out. I suppose a percentage of that act was because of altruism; because I was thinking of how I wished at 13 or 14 there was somebody I looked up to who would have said something like that, who would have been transparent in that way. But there’s another side of it that’s just about my own sanity and my ability to feel like I’m living a life where I’m not just successful on paper, but sure that I’m happy when I wake up in the morning, and not with this freakin’ boulder on my chest.
I knew that I was writing in a way that people would ask questions. I knew that my star was rising, and I knew that if I waited I would always have somebody that I respected be able to encourage me to wait longer, to not say it till who knows when. It was important for me to know that when I go out on the road and I do these things, that I’m looking at people who are applauding because of an appreciation for me. I don’t have many secrets, so if you know that, and you’re still applauding … it may be some sort of sick validation but it was important to me. When I heard people talking about certain, you know, ‘pronouns’ in the writing of the record, I just wanted to – like I said on the post – offer some clarity; clarify, before the fire got too wild and the conversation became too unfocused and murky.
When you write a song like Forrest Gump, the subject can’t be androgynous. It requires an unnecessary amount of effort. I don’t fear anybody. So, to answer your question, yes, I could have easily changed the words. But for what? I just feel like it’s just another time now. I have no interest in contributing to that, especially with my art. It’s the one thing that I know will outlive me and outlive my feelings. It will outlive my depressive seasons.”
Frank Ocean releasing “Channel Orange” Tonight?
There have been a lot of rumors circulating online that Frank Ocean will release his album “Channel Orange” tonight. This wasn’t expected originally but neither was his coming out to the public. Looks like Mr. Ocean is full of surprises these days. Stay tuned for more info or check iTunes as the rumor says the album will drop at 12:30 AM Est.
Beyonce Shows her Support for Frank Ocean
As many of you may know, Frank Ocean recently came out to the public as being openly gay and has been the most talked about musician in the industry this week. Lots of celebrities have also written and shown support for his decision. Beyonce being one of the biggest superstars to say something put out a poem on her Tumblr which can be seen above. It’s nice to see people showing support and at the end of the day when it comes down to it it’s all about the great music that he will continue making.

Steve Jobs Movie Coming Out Starring Ashton Kutcher
I knew right when Steve jobs died a movie would be coming very soon and that is exactly what is happening here. This man has influenced the world in many ways, I mean look at the iPhone or Macbook that you’re probably reading this from… all him. Ashton Kutcher will play the lead role in this movie and the release date is set for a fall/winter date. It will be a smaller independent film but will still gain a lot of attention. The title of this film will be “Jobs: Get Inspired”.
Jessica Biel gets “Hitchcock” Role as Vera Miles
Seems like Jessica Biel has been having a good time lately. She just recently got proposed to by Justin Timberlake and now she’s landed a role in the new “Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho” movie coming out as Vera Miles. Everyone has been wondering when the next iPad is going to come out. Even though the predicted date is March, there are a lot more rumors that need to be put out there. Here are the most probable ones.
