So trust me I’ve been waiting for this one to come out for a while. Being the only major fast food fan at RK, I actually anticipate days like these. They were supposed to come out yesterday, waited in the drive through, and the lady behind the speaker said they didn’t have them yet! Oh well can’t complain cause I got two of them today, the supreme version. Now since Taco Bell sold over 250 million of the original Locos Taco, these were very highly anticipated by more people than just me. Pulling up to the drive through I knew these were going to be delicious, and I was right! Let’s not get carried away here, fast food and especially Taco Bell is probably the worst for your body, but as far as taste goes, they were great. Another cool thing about em is that the original Locos Taco left a bunch of orange seasoning residue on your fingers, but they toned it down for these ones. They taste just like cool ranch Doritos and it almost seems like the shells were made stronger because these ones didn’t crack as easy. I would give these cool ranch tacos a 5 out of 5, exactly what I expected. Make sure to go and grab one for yourself if you don’t believe me, hopefully they’re around for a long time.
Sounds like Taco Bell is moving the date of the “Cool Ranch” Doritos Locos Taco and releasing it a day early. With more than 250 million units sold of the last Locos Taco, this “Cool Ranch” version is sure to make quite the splash. So aside from marking your calendars for our Spring drop which is on March 18th, make sure to save the date tomorrow and go get yourself a “Cool Ranch” Doritos Locos Taco from Taco Bell. Taking over the fast food nation one taco at a time.
Now Doritos on the other hand (referring to post below), always impresses us with their commercials, they actually have 5 of them this year. Humor plays a huge role in these ones as always. Here you go…
So a bunch of us at the office bought some of the new Taco Bell Doritos “Locos Tacos” earlier just to see what all the buzz was about. According to Joe (marketing) the new taco is just a Doritos chip when you bite in but the flavor gets diminished quickly by all the meat and then turns into a regular taco. I’d probably say the same thing, the Doritos taste is something that you get right away but it doesn’t last long. Still a pretty good taco and much better than the regular ones, the biggest downfall would have to be the residue it leaves behind. Being that we are on computers a lot of time, having orange keyboards is not all that great. I’d give this taco a 7 out 10. If you don’t come in with too high of expectations then it’s great, put it up on the pedestal and you might be disappointed.
YES!!! Just received some of the best news in fast food history. Taco Bell has been sampling it’s Doritos flavored taco shells in Ohio for a while now but just announced that they will be going nationwide starting March 8th. They will be available in both cool ranch and nacho cheese flavor. Thank You Taco Bell!
