McDonald’s is great for food reviews on this blog, but it’s also good for hosting one of the best basketball events in the world, the McDonald’s All-American game and various contests. Here we have Andrew Wiggins with a reverse 360 Eastbay in the dunk contest. Safe to say he shut the place down.
This is interesting, apparently sex.com is offering Kobe Bryant from the dookie ass Los Angeles Lakers $5 mill to compete in a dunk competition against the King.. Who the F%*! is ‘Sex.com’?!?! I actually took a peek and wasn’t surprised, take a look yourself if your’re curious (explicit content)
All I know is their money super long over at sex.com, they can make the two greatest hoopers on the planet challenge each other in a dunk contest.. now that’s ‘napkin money’.
Also take a look at this official press release from ‘sex.com’ to further your confusion…
SEX.COM PRESS RELEASE: March 4th, 2013 – As passionate basketball fans, the team at Sex.com was thrilled to hear about Magic Johnson’s million dollar offer to Lebron James. In hopes of making the 2014 NBA Slam Dunk Contest a historic event, Sex.com has reached out to Kobe Bryant’s agent Rob Pelinka and the NBA to entice Kobe Bryant to participate in the Dunk Contest for the first time since 1997.
Sex.com is offering $5 million to the charity of Kobe Bryant’s choosing for his participation in the 2014 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. However, this offer is conditional. It depends on Lebron James entering the 2014 NBA Slam Dunk Contest with Bryant.
Bryant and James are both members of the NBA’s elite and fans often debate who is the better player between the two. Sex.com wants to ensure that basketball fans get to see the two superstars use their talent and creativity.
“…We at Sex.com feel it is important for the sport of basketball that Kobe and Lebron face-off in the dunk contest and we want to be part of this historic event. The NBA’s best players used to enter. Jordan versus Dominique had us on the edge of our seats. It would be a shame for these exceptional player to let pride take priority over sportsmanship…” says Sex.com’s Director of Marketing J.L. Marcoux.
Justin “Just Fly” Darlington recently won a Nike dunk contest down in Los Angeles and we can’t wait to show you what he did to win it. Runs up to the ball doing a cartwheel and then straight to dunking it between the legs. Simply amazing…
Not sure if most of you follow the NCAA college dunk contest but it is MUCH better than the NBA. James Justice is only 5’9 and killed it, check this out.
“It’s an all-day deal Friday and it’s most of the day on Saturday and you’re there all night,” he explained. “You have to leave the hotel three to four hours before and you’re taking pictures and doing all this stuff and guys just want and need a break. It would be great if you could just go out there and [dunk] but that’s not the case. You don’t see all the behind-the-scenes stuff…I would suggest not making it so demanding. People think it’s just the dunk contest and you just go out there and dunk but that’s not the case. You have to do the practice Thursday night and Friday and all this stuff.”
So as always in recent years the NBA dunk contest wasn’t that entertaining. I mean you had Blake Griffin dunking over a KIA the year before and some no-names this year. The Sprite Slam Dunk contest is a little different. These guys actually get up there and pull out some of the craziest dunks. Here’s this year’s contest guest judged by Lebron James.
Well this kind of harshens my buzz. How are you going to completely destroy Kendrick Perkins’ ego and then announce that you’re NOT in the dunk contest? Come on son…
“As of right now, I don’t plan on being in it,” he said last night. “Those dunk contests aren’t my thing. I said that last year. There’s a lot of guys that can put on a great show and do some good stuff…Last year was hectic and it kind of made it unenjoyable. So this year, we’ll see what will happen, but I will try to tone it down a bit and get a break instead of being so busy.”_Blake Griffin
Okay first off let me start by saying I feel like this happens every year. Lebron has some great dunks during the season, people start talking, and then he says something about entering the dunk contest during All-Star Weekend. He’s done it again but this year tried to shy away from it as much as possible. Oh and let’s hope this year’s contest isn’t capped off with a Kia Commercial for the last dunk. This is what Lebron had to say.
“I don’t know, I’ll be on the fence every year about it. It’s always a fence year for me. I know they’re getting tired of me, though, so I’m not even going to start up nothing.”
I don’t know why I didn’t throw John Wall up there in the title cause he went off the most, but all of these plays are insane. So many dunks in one building I could barely handle the highlights. This was at Chris Paul’s charity event over the weekend in North Carolina. Jordan everywhere.
