If you were watching the NBA Finals today, you probably should have stuck around for the halftime show instead of grabbing a refill of your drink. Jay-Z had a special announcement for everyone that he had scheduled for today at 6:15. The commercial, which featured the likes of Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and Rick Rubin in a room with Jay-Z as they go over beats and song concepts, and mid-commercial Jay-Z announces a July 4th release date. I don’t want to spoil it though, so just watch for yourself.
This video is pretty funny. It’s the press conference after Miami won game 4 and Lebron making fun of the glasses Wade is wearing in front of the press. They are pretty ridiculous but hilarious at the same time. Looks like Wade wears the crown for most ridiculous glasses in the NBA currently.
Now that I think about it this post is only going up because I am a huge Lebron James fan, but as you saw today the Heat took out OKC to win game 4 104 to 98. Lebron James lead Miami with a near triple double scoring 26 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and dishing out 12 assists. Some might say he played the ultimate game, giving the ball first and scoring when necessary. Dwyane Wade and Chalmers both added 25 points to the total establishing a new big 3 for this game. On OKC’s side Westbrook probably had the best game with 43 points, 5 assists, and 7 rebounds, Kevin Durant also added 28 points. What looked like a great start for the Thunder in the beginning (up 15 points) ended up being chased down and surpassed as the Heat moved on to win game 4. Miami is up 3-1 now in the finals and according to the history books no team in the NBA has ever fought their way back to win it all. Looks like the trophy is headed to Lebron for the first time and those critics can finally stop talking about him not having any hardware. Here’s some highlights from the game.
Looks like even though the Lakers are out of the NBA playoffs Metta World Peace still has some words for James Harden. He actually Tweeted throughout most of the game, maybe he’s trying to get that analyst job set up? Anyways here’s what Metta had to say about James Harden’s play during Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
Yesterday after the Miami Heat won their game against the OKC Thunder to go up 2-1 in the Finals, a fan of Lebron’s decided it would be a good idea to wear his sweaty headband. This could end up being a “Like Mike” situation where she gets super powers turning her into a great basketball player. Or it just means she’s got one nasty and sweaty headband on her head. Either way a video worth watching.
Sure there’s a lot of people out there saying who they think will win the NBA finals, but the opinion of Michael Jordan matters a lot more. Apparently he was watching the game at some hotel/bar the other day and was overheard predicting that Lebron will finally get his ring.
The six-time world champ with the Chicago Bulls watched Game 2 of the Miami Heat-Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Finals last night at Haven Gastro-Lounge in Miami Beach.
Jordan came alone but soon was joined by three ladies and four men.
He managed to inhale multiple burger sliders from chef Todd Erickson and sipped a couple vodka cocktails.
When ABC aired an old Jordan commercial during a timeout, the patrons of Lincoln Road restaurant broke into a “Jordan! Jordan!” chant.
And after the game’s final buzzer sounded, His Airness was overheard predicting that the Miami Heat would win the championship!_ Source
Here’s what Russell Westbrook claims to be his starting 5, or the first 5 kicks he always chooses to wear. It’s cool how he starts off with some regular chucks…
It’s no surprise that Lebron James has been listening to this song and knows it by heart. Just listen to the lyrics of “The Way I Am” and you will see the connection right away. Scrutiny from the media and everybody expecting him to lose. Good to see Lebron focused up and moving on to the finals again.
So yesterday the boss man said he wanted to hear Rick Ross and Rick Ross only in the office, so here’s another one for ya mr. Rich Kids. Rick Ross just dropped another video with Meek Mill and Gunplay for the song “Finals”. Check it.
Looks like all this criticism is a little much for the King so he decided to take a lil’ trip to the Bahamas. Lebron has always said he prefers the Caribbean to anything in the US. The picture above is the only image so far from his trip but I’m sure there will be more to come.
