Seahawks May Face Fines for Multiple Suspensions
The Hawks might be facing fines for multiple members of the team violating the NFL’s Steroid and Personal Conduct Policy. When Bruce Irvin was suspended last friday for testing positive for performance enhancing substances (Adderall), he became the fifth Seattle player to do so since 2011. That’s a lot. The other four players before Irvin were John Moffitt, Allen Barbre, Winston Guy and Brandon Browner. Also don’t forget, that number could have very easily been one higher if Richard Sherman hadn’t had his positive test results thrown out. I certainly hope the Hawks get this all figured out. We have all the potential in the world this year and I would hate to see it slip away over something so meaningless.
San Francisco picked to host 50th Super Bowl in 2016
The 50th Super Bowl?! It’s crazy to think that we’re already at 50 of these. Hosting the 50th one is a huge deal and San Francisco has officially been chosen as the place to play. Can’t wait to see what king of marketing plans go into this one. Get ready for Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
Lions WR Titus Young arrested Three Times in One Week
This has to be some sort of record. Titus Young was arrested twice in the same day last weekend, the first time being for DUI suspicion and the second for then breaking into the impound to steal back his own car that he was driving when he got arrested for the original crime. As bad as it gets? Unfortunately, no. This most recent weekend, Young was arrested again. This time for allegedly breaking into a house in San Clemente, CA. As crazy/humorous as getting arrested three times in one week is, this dude is obviously going through something and I certainly hope he gets it figured out.

Tim Tebow released by Jets
One of the most over-hyped quarterbacks in NFL history has finally been released by the Jets, this just in 4 hours ago. Head coach Rex Ryan had this to say about the situation.
“Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker, evident by the shape he came back in this offseason. We wish him the best moving forward.”

Darrelle Revis headed to Tampa Bay
The New York Jets have traded Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 13th overall pick in the upcoming draft and a conditional pick next year. Revis signed a new six-year, $96 million contract with Tampa Bay, making him the highest paid NFL Defensive Back in NFL History. The Pro Bowler took to his twitter to address the situation, tweeting “The six years I played for the New York Jets were unbelievable. I put my body on the line everyday & did everything could to help the team win.” Only time will tell if Revis will bounce back from a torn ACL and the Bucs can justify giving him $96 million.
Wes Welker to Broncos
Another major NFL move today as Wes Welker signs a two-year, $12 million deal with the Denver Broncos. I’m guessing Peyton Manning just stopped whatever he was doing and instantly popped a bottle of champagne in celebration. These big name receivers are flying all over the place lately, with Percy Harvin coming to the Hawks, Anquan Boldin heading to the 49ers and now Welker headed to Denver all within the last week or so, 2013 is shaping up to be a pretty exciting season.
WR Percy Harvin to the Seahawks
Great news for Seattle sports today. Even though the Seahawks were monstrous last year and killed pretty much everybody in the league, this will be a great addition to the squad. Reports have surfaced that there is a deal on the table with the Minnesota Vikings and WR Percy Harvin will be playing for the Seahawks this upcoming season. Click HERE for the full report.
The University of Oregon Wins once again w/ New Digi-Camo Helmets
These will be worn for the 2013 Spring game by the Oregon Ducks. Once again they have the coolest and most innovative helmet designs in the entire NCAA. Can’t wait to see what other helmets they’ll be wearing during the actual season.
