Forbes comes around once again and releases their cash kings list for all the big DJs around the world. These guys make some serious bread. The most impressive aspect of this list is that Steve Aoki has done 250+ shows this year alone. That’s a lot of damn shows.
Mac Miller did this interview a year ago when he was one of the richest rappers in the game and now he’s back with another one. Can’t complain about being on Forbes at only 21 years old with no major label deal.
You already know Diddy’s about to come out with a song that says something about being on this list AGAIN. He beats out Jay-Z for the #1 spot at an estimated worth of $580 million. Most of that money comes from his very generous deal with Ciroc Vodka.
Forbes just put out another list and this time they tap into the hip-hop scene. Dr. Dre is obviously at the top of the list making $110 Million mainly from his sale of Dre Beats headphones to HTC. Diddy came in 2nd making $45 million in 2012 and Jay-Z with $38 million. Here’s the full list…
1. Andre “Dr. Dre” Young ($110 million)
Dr. Dre was the only hip-hop celebrity to make Forbes’ top 5 list this year not only through music production, but mainly because of his headphones. Dre Beats made the doctor $110 million dollars in just one year because of HTC buying them out. Now that’s a power move.
Forbes has been releasing a lot of lists recently and for this one they tap into the world of celebrity couples. Beyonce and Jay-Z are at the top of course. Here’s the rest of the top 5…
This list is based off combined annual income:

4. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: $45 Million
3. David and Victoria Beckham: $54 Million

“Rich is not what you have, it’s who you have beside you”. We live by that, but we also like to educate our viewers on what some of the most successful people are doing and how they got there. Rest assure they would have never gotten there without their friends and family by their side at all times (who you have around you). So here’s a list of the world’s richest DJs to date according to Forbes magazine.
1. Tiesto - $22 million
2. Skrillex - $15 million
3. Swedish House Mafia – $14 million
4. David Guetta – $13.5 million
5. Steve Aoki – $12 million
6. Deadmau5 – $11.5 million

10. Avicii – $7 million
Forbes always does a great job of breaking down how much everybody in hip-hop makes and today they did not dissappoint by releasing this list. It is the 20 richest rappers alive list and you’ll be surprised to see some of the names on there. Rick Ross starts off the list at $25 million and Diddy finishes it off at $500 million. There are also some old names like the Beastie Boys and LL Cool J too. Click HERE to view the entire list.
This is what Wiz Khalifa had to tell Forbes Magazine when they asked him how well he planned to do in 2012, pretty bold answer if you ask me.
“Oh yeah, man, I’m going to make $100 million this year,” he said. “No doubt, $100 million. The new mixtape [will] get everybody ready and get their wallets open.”
I knew this was going to happen. When you’re the first independent artist since Snoop in 92 to sell over 100,000 in your first week, Forbes will coming knocking at your door. Here’s what Mac Miller had to say about his success and wealth coming up.
