What a great way to start the week. Pusha T is definitely sending a huge message to the rap game with this project. We’ve already heard some of the tracks and all of them are absolute monsters lyrically. The mixtape won’t drop for another 50 minutes (from when this article was posted), but hit the link to stay on top of the drop. “Wrath of Caine” will be on repeat for a while.
We can finally put all the rumors to rest, “Cruel Winter” is actually happening. As you know Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music recently released their collaborative album “Cruel Summer” which was one amazing project. We’re still bumpin’ most of the songs from that album. Now we have “Cruel Winter” and the short film trailer for it. No telling dates or anything yet, but it’s “coming soon” according to the video.
Pusha T sat down with HipHopWired recently and was asked about his track “New God Flow” with Kanye West. This is what he had to say about it…
“New God Flow” was about, in my view, something I read in a Birdman interview that I didn’t like. He said something like “G.O.O.D. Music isn’t nothing” and it had nothing to do with Wayne or Drake per se. That was Birdman saying whatever he wanted to say and that was the basis of where all of my lines came from. Everybody else was on their love of Hip-Hop s**t.
Complex comes out with the best ideas sometimes and this is a great examples of one of them. This time they went way back and made trading cards for everyone on the G.O.O.D. music roster. We’re guessing these would sell very well since people always want to be part of something new. Click HERE for more info.
G.O.O.D. Music just put out their compilation album so expect to see a lot of press from them. Here’s their interview with the best morning show in the world “The Breakfast Club”. If you don’t have “Cruel Summer” by now it’s about time to get it.
R.I.P to the late Donda West, this video was uploaded to Youtube, over a year ago, but it was seemed to resurface over the blogosphere over the last week or so. Kanye and his mom are seen rapping a verse of his back in the day. Looks like it may even date back to the pre-college dropout days. Crazy to see this and where Kanye has gone from then til now.

This compilation album from the G.O.O.D. music crew drops on September 4th and we cannot wait any longer for that date. It will definitely give Maybach Music a run for their money. The artwork for the album is amazing too as pictured above and below. Save the date, this is going to be one amazing album.

You know it’s a good sign when a single off your album goes platinum before the actual album drops. That’s exactly what happened to G.O.O.D. music with their single “Mercy”. It has already sold 1,059,000 copies and the compilation album drops August 7th. The new single out right now is “New God Flow”by Kanye and Pusha T which is also expected to do very well.
