Be careful out there people, with such tragic events happening recently, there seem to be some copy cats developing planning similar events. Luckily this time police in Oklahoma were able to prevent another tragedy by catching a teen plotting a mass shooting before it actually happened.
18-year-old Sammie Eaglebear Chavez told his friends at Bartlesville High School of his plans to gather students and classmates into the gym and open fire. He also said that he planned to detonate explosives once police arrived. Another student overheard Chavez on Thursday, and police arrested him on Friday morning before he could follow through. A judge ordered that Chavez be held on $1 million bail. Police say that Chavez owned a Colt .45 handgun and was trying to secure explosives and high-powered firearms. He was also someone that discussed the Columbine shootings a lot.
