Once Mayweather beat Alvarez, we were all wondering who his next opponent will be. Well it looks like that answer has finally surfaced. His next opponent will be (28-3) Amir Khan. We’re going to have to wait until May 3rd, 2013 for this one. I’m just going to go ahead and say Mayweather is going to absolutely destroy this guy. It’s sad when the more exciting part of the fight is who’s walking Floyd to the ring.
Justin Timberlake is all over the place once again as he has an album coming out AND a movie! This guy can really do it all and nobody is better than this triple threat. Here’s his most recent performance of “TKO” on Ellen. Enjoy!
Looks like Drake is starting to make those all-around moves like Jay Z. He’s just been named a Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors and has been brought on for rebranding and business development of the team. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of swag Drake can add to the squad. He’s always been seeing reppin’ for the Raptors since they’re from his home town and will surely get a lot more players interested in playing there kind of like Hov did for the Brooklyn Nets. It looks like all this Twitter beef can lead to some real consequences these days. Wade and Durant got into it recently after the NBA’s top 10 players were announced. After the feud we’ve read a lot of reports that Gatorade will not be renewing their sponsorship with Kevin Durant next week. Click HERE for the full story.
Everyone out at New York Fashion Week thinks they know everything about fashion. So Jimmy Kimmel put that to the test by making up lines that don’t exist and asking show goers about them. Some people are so ridiculous. The Uni-Boot though?
If you’re planning on starting sh*t with 49ers fans on Sunday, better think again. Apparently the SPD is taking an interesting approach and their officers will be wearing 49ers jerseys to the game. So if you’re trying to fight an opposing fan I’d reconsider since you might be assaulting an officer. These cops are getting very very sneaky these days.
Apple made some huge announcements today introducing the release of iOS7 on September 18th, the iPhone 5C, and iPhone 5S. The iPhone 5C will be the more affordable iPhone with more colorways while the iPhone 5S will be the best iPhone Apple has ever released. We’d got into detail about everything but the links below can do a much better job of explaining all the specs.
Remember the huge white man that would accompany Jay Z just about everywhere he went? Well that was his bodyguard Norman Oosterbroek. Unfortunately Norman died Monday night after being tasered by Police responding to a home invasion. Norman’s clients also included Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Nelson Mandela, and many more.
“This much is certain, according to Miami-Dade police: The Pinecrest homeowners, Markus and Christiane Jung, called police at 10:45 p.m. Monday to report the naked intruder. When officers arrived, they found Markus and Oosterbroek violently fighting. During the melee, cops saw Oosterbroek “ingesting an unknown substance.” When officers tried to intervene, Oosterbroek violently resisted, so cops used a Taser, which led to his death.”

The BMI Awards went down last night and Birdman won the icon award along with the entire Young Money/Cash Money family. As you can see, he feels the exact same way we do. You don’t get anywhere as a unit without LOYALTY. Here’s his acceptance speech and warning to any competition. “Guaranteed to lose”.
Now that all the madness is over with I can actually sit down and tell you a little bit about our trip to Las Vegas for our first ever showing at Agenda. We couldn’t have been more stoked about the opportunity to show our product to some of the biggest retailers in the world. It’s always dope seeing people recognize the brand out here in Seattle, but even more so when you meet people from all around the world and they say they’re huge supporters.
We got in on Saturday night and set up on Sunday morning. Setting up was an awesome experience meeting with all the other big brands and being able to be in a room full of super talented and creative people. Once our booth was set up it kind of sunk in that we were actually here and here for a reason. Throughout the past 2 years we’ve been working hard each and every day to make sure to put out the best product that is followed by an even stronger message, “Rich is not what you have, it’s who you have beside you”. The incredible support we’ve received throughout the time being got us to this place and we couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of you.
Monday was the big show and first day of Agenda. Right from the start it was cool seeing everyone interested in what we had to bring to the table. Buyers from all over the world would stop by and check out all the new product we have to offer. London, Japan, Denmark, France… you name it, they were in the building. One of the bigger moments that day was Cash Money Young Money’s Birdman walking by our booth and then turning around to tell us how much he loves the brand. He really liked our “Hooligans” apparel and mentioned needing some of his own, think we can make that happen. It’s a blessing to have one of your inspirations and a man who made it from nothing to one of the most successful music moguls in the industry tell you that he supports what you’re doing. The show lasted until 6 o’ clock and then it was time to block off the booth and head back to the hotel. Overall it was a great day and our booth stayed busy throughout the entire day.
Tuesday was the second and final day of the show. Even though 2 days of a tradeshow doesn’t seem that long, there are always people walking by the booth and checking for new trends so from 8 AM – 6 PM a lot can get done. This day we had the entire squad at Agenda and took a lot more time to walk around and network with some of the other people/brands in the building. The place was also packed with big names such as Big Sean, Travis Scott, Birdman, Slim, Jim Jones, Rocko, and many more. Our booth was poppin’ once again and we met with a lot more buyers and supporters throughout the event. Overall day 2 was very successful even though we cannot reveal the big news coming up. Just make sure to stay tuned to all of our social networks for all news concerning the brand.
That Tuesday night it was time to celebrate all of our accomplishments with the entire RK Fam and some good people we met throughout the show. The night’s events lead us to Hakkasan at the MGM with a live performance from Nas which was one of the most incredible club performances we’ve ever seen. Sure it was only 3 or 4 songs, but he brought out all the classics. “Hate me Now” probably went the hardest out of all of them. It’s always great to be with your family at these things to celebrate the past 2 years and the bright future ahead.
Now we’re all back home in Seattle and it’s time to really get to work. Oh and thanks to all the new “Likers” on Facebook, while we were in Vegas we officially hit 10,000 likes. That’s 10,000 Rich Kids supporters all organically brought in through your support for the brand. We couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing support we have from all of you.
