Ha, this is pretty funny. Kobe Bryant might be taking the whole black mamba thing a little too seriously and apparently hisses on the court when he wants the ball passed to him. Wizards guard Jordan Crawford said “No Kobe really IS the Black Mamba” when he released the information. Click HERE for more on this hilarious news.
Alright alright… Even though we don’t talk about the Lakers much on here, Kobe Bryant needs some credit tonight. Throwing down on Humphries and Wallace after 17 years in league is pretty damn impressive. Just look at that slam!
No need to say much here. As you can see from the Tweets above, this random Twitter user got son’d by the Black Mamba.
Here’s how you make a very successful commercial. You get two of the best athlete’s in the world, add a little bit of humor, then make them look worthless in the end with some ice cream. Turkish Airlines really nailed it with this one.
We know this photo came out a while ago, so no “old news” comments please. This one just randomly popped up in a news feed. No need to describe why this is hilarious.
Even though the Lakers lost, Dwight Howard had one hell of a debut against the Kings scoring 19 points and throwing down some huge dunks. Here’s the full highlights of all that went down that night. Looks like he’ll fit right in with that offense.
Michael Jordan had already said that the 1992 Dream Team would kill the current team USA roster, but he’s done it again now with some more detail. Here’s what Jordan had to say (again) about the comparison…
“I just felt like we had enough size that we could contend with the 2012 team,” he said of the team that was without elite shot blocker Dwight Howard and relied heavily on the Knicks’ Tyson Chandler at center. “I think one of the things the 2012 team lacked was size, you know? We probably would have attacked them from inside and outside, and I think that would have been pretty much solidified [for the '92 team's defense] with shot-blockers as well as perimeter defensive players.”
“In [terms] of how the game is played from an offensive standpoint and a defense standpoint — from a team standpoint — I feel like we were much more solid defensively. We could definitely guard the perimeter and force them to penetrate to shot-blockers, which I felt like would’ve made a big difference with this team in 2012. They only had one shot-blocker. Granted, I know LeBron [James] and some of those guys can still block shots. It’s not the same defense and it’s not the same intensity.”
“Granted, I think those guys are much more athletic than maybe we were at that particular time, but I’d like to think that we were a little bit smarter and well-groomed about playing at that level of basketball,” Jordan said. “So in all honesty, I don’t think we would’ve had any problems with them, as much as they think they probably would’ve given us a lot more difficulties. I think our team would’ve been a lot better in terms of all-around basketball game.”
The last time someone made a song about Kobe Bryant, Lil’ Wayne was delivering the bars. This time we’ve got Trouble behind the mic inspired by the Black Mamba himself. Here’s “Kobe Bryant”.
Looks like things are already starting to get funny over in Los Angeles ever since Dwight Howard signed with the Lakers. He was recently caught doing a Kobe Bryant impression during his first press conference. Funny…
Now that Kobe Bryant is 34 and has been deemed the “old guy” on the team, he’s been doing a whole lot of trash talking. When recently asked if he has learned anything from his teammates he had this to say…
“No, I don’t know if I know it all, but I know more than they do.”
Then when asked about his post game Kobe also said that even though he’s a guard he’s definitely got the best post game on the team. He then was asked if Tyson Chandler had the 2nd best post game and said this…
“No, no, no. Not other than Tyson Chandler. I’m the best post player on this team, period. Tyson Chandler is not in that conversation.”
Looks like Kobe doesn’t care what his teammates think about anything he says and will always continue to toot his horn no matter who he’s around. Hopefully these finals get over, we get the gold, and everyone can move on,
