Just in case you didn’t catch any of the live coverage this weekend, here are some performances from the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas featuring Drake, J. Cole, and Justin Timberlake. Enjoy!
Now that all the madness is over with I can actually sit down and tell you a little bit about our trip to Las Vegas for our first ever showing at Agenda. We couldn’t have been more stoked about the opportunity to show our product to some of the biggest retailers in the world. It’s always dope seeing people recognize the brand out here in Seattle, but even more so when you meet people from all around the world and they say they’re huge supporters.
We got in on Saturday night and set up on Sunday morning. Setting up was an awesome experience meeting with all the other big brands and being able to be in a room full of super talented and creative people. Once our booth was set up it kind of sunk in that we were actually here and here for a reason. Throughout the past 2 years we’ve been working hard each and every day to make sure to put out the best product that is followed by an even stronger message, “Rich is not what you have, it’s who you have beside you”. The incredible support we’ve received throughout the time being got us to this place and we couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of you.
Monday was the big show and first day of Agenda. Right from the start it was cool seeing everyone interested in what we had to bring to the table. Buyers from all over the world would stop by and check out all the new product we have to offer. London, Japan, Denmark, France… you name it, they were in the building. One of the bigger moments that day was Cash Money Young Money’s Birdman walking by our booth and then turning around to tell us how much he loves the brand. He really liked our “Hooligans” apparel and mentioned needing some of his own, think we can make that happen. It’s a blessing to have one of your inspirations and a man who made it from nothing to one of the most successful music moguls in the industry tell you that he supports what you’re doing. The show lasted until 6 o’ clock and then it was time to block off the booth and head back to the hotel. Overall it was a great day and our booth stayed busy throughout the entire day.
Tuesday was the second and final day of the show. Even though 2 days of a tradeshow doesn’t seem that long, there are always people walking by the booth and checking for new trends so from 8 AM – 6 PM a lot can get done. This day we had the entire squad at Agenda and took a lot more time to walk around and network with some of the other people/brands in the building. The place was also packed with big names such as Big Sean, Travis Scott, Birdman, Slim, Jim Jones, Rocko, and many more. Our booth was poppin’ once again and we met with a lot more buyers and supporters throughout the event. Overall day 2 was very successful even though we cannot reveal the big news coming up. Just make sure to stay tuned to all of our social networks for all news concerning the brand.
That Tuesday night it was time to celebrate all of our accomplishments with the entire RK Fam and some good people we met throughout the show. The night’s events lead us to Hakkasan at the MGM with a live performance from Nas which was one of the most incredible club performances we’ve ever seen. Sure it was only 3 or 4 songs, but he brought out all the classics. “Hate me Now” probably went the hardest out of all of them. It’s always great to be with your family at these things to celebrate the past 2 years and the bright future ahead.
Now we’re all back home in Seattle and it’s time to really get to work. Oh and thanks to all the new “Likers” on Facebook, while we were in Vegas we officially hit 10,000 likes. That’s 10,000 Rich Kids supporters all organically brought in through your support for the brand. We couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing support we have from all of you.
Looks like the rematch is going to happen overall. Weidman vs. Silva December 28th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Dana White took to ESPN earlier today to officially announce the fight. The people wanted a rematch right from the jump just because of how it all went down. Can’t wait to see this happen.
I am still in disbelief that I witnessed this happen. Chris Weidman knocked Anderson Silva out early in the second round last night to become the new UFC Middleweight Champion. The tricky part about this whole thing is that Silva was dancing and playing around the entire time, he was not fighting. So in a sense, he very much deserved what happened to him, but I have a feeling that if he had come in to take care of business and actually fight instead of messing around Weidman wouldn’t have stood a chance. I guess after you mow through 20 something fighters in a row with really only one of them giving you any trouble whatsoever (Chael Sonnen on steroids), you get a little bit bored and try to spice things up a bit. So on one hand I get what he was doing, but on the other hand, you can’t get that cocky. I’m about as big of an Anderson Silva fan as one can be, so you better believe this is a bummer. It will be interesting to see what happens from here. In the post fight interview Silva was kind of talking like he might be done with the UFC and want to move on. He almost seemed relieved that it all happened. However, the rematch is a very real possibility and it would be absolutely legendary. Like I said before, if Anderson Silva actually goes into fight I don’t see Weidman getting past him. Not to take anything away from Weidman, I just still think Silva is the best. We will just have to wait and see how it plays out.
Hope everyone had an awesome fourth! Tonight the best fighter in the world, Anderson Silva, is defending his title at UFC 162 in Vegas against up-and-comer Chris Weidman. Don’t get me wrong, Weidman is pretty nasty, but I just really don’t see him getting past Silva. I can’t wait for this fight tonight. A few other notable fighters stepping in the octagon tonight before the main event are Frankie Edgar, Tim Boetsch and Chris Leben. Should be an awesome PPV!
Just in case you’re wondering, MDW stands for Memorial Day Weekend… duh. So here’s Meek Mill with Diddy in Vegas performing Meek’s new song “Levels” in front of what looks like thousands during MDW. This song seriously goes so hard, it’s ridiculous. Meek is back with that mixtape flow that we’ve all been waiting for. Enjoy…
Kendrick Lamar just started his “Good Kid Mad City” tour and what better place to stop first then Sin City Las Vegas. Here’s some footage from the first show. Make sure to catch this one if he swings through your area, one of the best live rappers in the game.
As most celebrity 21 year olds would do, Mac Miller gathers all his friends and they head to Vegas. First they have a wild night at their hotel suite, then the second night they go to Tao. There are some cameos from members of Odd Future and Mac Miller’s bother surprises him. This is the final episode of the show, who knows if there will be a 2nd season.
Tyga was recently in Vegas with his Last Kings clothing line and brought the cameras along to document the whole thing. He also performed at UC Riverside where the show was more than epic. Here you go…
Reebok is definitely back. Shaq and Swizz Beatz made that clear at Magic in Vegas a couple of days ago. Here’s the official announcement of the Shaq Reeboks coming back.
