Looks like Kobe Bryant is officially going to be a Laker for life after today. He just signed a two-year extension deal with the team and will most likely be there for the rest of his career. Good to see Kobe staying loyal to his team throughout his entire career. It was tough to see Jordan play for the Wizards on his way out. Oh and the deal Kobe signed was for $48 million.
Even though we’re not the biggest Laker fans over here, you still gotta give credit to one of the best players to ever hit the court. It’s tough to see Kobe Bryant in this state knowing that he thinks this is the biggest disappointment of his entire career. Here’s what he thought of everything that happened after the game, this reporter is ridiculous for asking if he will play through the injury.
Looks like all that trying to make it into the playoffs finally caught up to Kobe Bryant as he suffered a serious ankle injury earlier today. X-Rays came back negative in the locker room but doctors say that there’s no telling when Bryant will return to the court. There are only 16 games left in the season and the Lakers just lost their best player, not a good look at all.
It’s awesome being a pro-heat squad over here at Rich Kids for the most part. Videos like this one really make our day. Here’s Dwight’s attempt at a free throw last night. How are you that big/strong and still can’t get the ball to hit anything but air?
Metta World Peace will always be entertaining on and off the floor and this is why. Instead of talking about the game he gets at the Los Angeles media for switching over to being Clippers fans. Hilarious interview as always.
It’s always funny seeing some people not sticking to their day job. Here’s a perfect example of that humor with Metta World Peace aka Ron Artest releasing a new music video for this track “Represented”.
After the Lakers won the other night, Jim Gray stopped Metta World Peace (Ron Artest) for a post-game interview. After answering a few cliche basketball questions, Metta asked Jim Gray if he wanted to pop bottles with him. Here it is…
Even though the Lakers lost, Dwight Howard had one hell of a debut against the Kings scoring 19 points and throwing down some huge dunks. Here’s the full highlights of all that went down that night. Looks like he’ll fit right in with that offense.
There’s been a lot of drama surrounding the Oklahoma City Thunder today, especially with those shirts that someone made over there thanking Seattle for giving them the team. That’s not really important to the players though, they’re all about the playoffs as their fans should be too. The Thunder came back to Oklahoma today ahead of the Lakers in the series 3-1. After a very impressive demolishing of the Lake Show in the 4th quarter, they ended up winning the game (106-90) and advancing to the Western Conference Finals. Top performer for the Lakers was non other than Kobe Bryant with 42 points and for the Thunder it was Kevin Durant with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals. Russell Westbrook also had a great performance with 28 points and James Harden added 17 to give the OKC “Big Three” a combined 70 points. Up next the Thunder take on the Spurs. This happened a few days ago but still worth posting about. Kobe Bryant decided to go out and treat himself to a little gift, that little gift just so happened to cost $329,000 and was a Ferrari 458 Italia. Paid in full with a check of course, probably makes that in one game. For the full story click here.
