Here’s what Floyd Mayweather had to say about the Marquez/Pacquiao Fight

We all expected Mayweather to hop on Twitter after the fight and go on a rant bout how Manny got knocked the F out, but it didn’t go down like that. Money May took the classy approach and had this to say…

“You live and you learn. The only thing [Pacquiao] can do is rejuvenate himself and bounce back like a true champion. Marquez is a true champion, Manny Pacquiao is a true champion, both of them went out there and put on a good performance, and that’s a good thing for the sport of boxing. I wish Pacquiao nothing but the best. I wish that he can bounce back and he can recoup from this…I feel bad for him, honestly. I really feel bad for him. There’s a difference in the ways you can get knocked out. See, when a guy gets knocked out and he can get up, they sit him on his stool, they rub his back, he go home and ice himself, you know, he go to the hospital and get checked out and he’s okay, that’s one thing. But, when you gotta wake a guy up with smelling salt and he got a concussion and he gotta go to the hospital overnight, that’s crucial. I mean, that’s close to death.”

It hasn’t even been  a full 24 hours yet and the memes coming in are more creative than we’ve seen before. So here are some of the top ones we’ve found online so far. Manny Pacquiao says Floyd Mayweather is Scared of Him (Video)

This has gone on for way too long, they just need to fight already. Here’s what Manny had to say about Floyd Mayweather being scared of him.

Timothy Bradley in Wheelchair at Post-fight Press Conference (Picture)

Timothy Bradley rolled his way to victory over Manny Pacquiao on the judges’ scorecards, and then he rolled his way into his post-fight press conference.

There were a few reports during the fight that Bradley hurt his foot in the early rounds. After the fight, Jaime Motta of Univision reported that Bradley fractured his left foot and sprained his right foot. That explains the wheelchair.

According to fight promoter Top Rank Boxing, Bradley hurt his left foot stepping on the referee’s foot in the second round.

I’m not sure what was more improbable: that Bradley showed up to the presser in a wheelchair, or that he WON A FIGHT WITH A BROKEN FOOT. You make the call._ Source

Closer to Happening: Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather

Manny Pacquiao finally came out and made an official statement to all of his fans after all the taunting from Mayweather. As long as the revenue is split 50/50 he is down to fight. Here is the statement…

To all of my fans…Mayweather just needs to agree to and accept a 50 percent split, and if he does, then the fight will go through. He’s the one who needs to agree. He’s the one who has to say yes. The reason is because he talks to a lot of people. He has a lot of representatives. If he takes the fight, he can make $50-to-60 million. That’s how much he can make. I want to fight him. This is the fight the world wants. Mayweather wants a guaranteed purse, so what he has to do is get a promoter who can give him the guarantee. I don’t have problems getting a guarantee because I have a promoter who will give me my guaranteed purse. If he gets a guarantee, then we are going to share the revenue on a 50-50 basis.”

Floyd Mayweather Calls out Manny Pacquiao via Twitter

Looks like Mayweather is ready to fight. Since his jail time has been pushed back, Floyd Mayweather calls out Manny Pacquiao via Twitter to step up and fight May 5th. Not sure how seriously you can take a Tweet, but maybe this could prompt a fight actually going down. We’ll keep you updated as the story develops.
