So you know how Rick Ross rapped about drugging a woman and then Reebok dropped their endorsement shortly after because of women protesting outside of the Reebok store in NY? Well now the same thing is happening to Lil’ Wayne and Mountain Dew after he referenced Emmett Till in one of his songs. Till’s family wants Mountain Dew to drop their endorsement due to the lyrics. We’ll see how this one plays out.
Lil’ Wayne takes us back into his skate world with another episode of “DEWeezy”. This time he has an injury which makes him take a break from the board. Here you go…
With Mac Miller being on his grind as always a lot of companies have been starting to take notice of the 20 year old rapper. Remember he’s still not signed to any labels and just got a deal with Mountain Dew, wow… that’s huge. Here’s the new ad.
It’s still so funny to me to think that Mac Miller just started his independent music journey not that long ago and he’s already in commercials with Lil’ Wayne. Just goes to show how much hard work pays off. Here’s a new Mt. Dew commercial featuring both Lil’ Wayne and Mac Miller.
Just when you think Weezy is done making moves, he’s onto the next one. Apparently he has partnered up with Mountain Dew Soda for national campaign. Here’s what Mountain Dew had to say about the new partnership.
“We are excited to partner Lil Wayne’s brand with a brand like Mountain Dew, a household name. [B]y showing interest in Lil Wayne, both Mountain Dew and the Glu Agency showed us they were forward thinking and valued the impact that Lil Wayne’s brand has had and will continue to have on global pop culture.”
