“SNITCH” is probably one of the best songs on Pusha T’s album “My Name is My Name”, so it’s only right that he performed it with Pharrell while they were both in town. Here’s their performance of the track on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.
Well here’s something you don’t see every day. Actually you’ve never seen this which is what makes Pharrell so unique when it comes to creativity. He just released the first ever 24-hour music video titled “Happy” from the “Despicable Me 2″ soundtrack.
Now this one is a beauty. Arguably the biggest record to release this year, just got some luxury treatment. Daft Punk’s newest work Random Access Memories is now available in a deluxe box set. The box set comes loaded with a double vinyl copy of the album decorated with gold and silver foil labels, as well as a pair of gold and silver plated, metal encased, USB drives containing all the music, bonus content, and an array of videos. You’ll also find schematics for building your own Robot costume and helmet, a 56-page hardcover book of images from recording sessions, and much much more. It is available now and the damage is only $275. If you’re purist of the robots, you gotta grab this one right in time for holiday season.
Pharrell finally ties the knot with his girl Helen Lasichanh at a private ceremony in Miami. Guests included Terry Richardson, Busta Rhymes, Usher, Robin Thicke and many more.
Looks like Pharrell Williams isn’t going down without a fight. Will.i.am sued him the other day for using “I Am” in his “I am Other” brand. So now Pharrell is counter suing saying that Will.i.am has no right to come after him since it’s just part of his stage name. It’s all pretty stupid if you ask me, just leave Skateboard P alone. Here’s what Pharrell had to say about the whole situation.
“Pharrell says Will is using the “I Am” is a Seussian way — as a playfull riff on his own name — and to hammer home his point, he quotes from Green Eggs and Ham: “Sam I am I am Sam I am Sam Sam I am”. Pharrell continues in his suit, “In contrast, the I Am Other mark means ‘I am something else,’ leaving what that ‘else’ is to the imagination of the consumer. It certainly does not mean ‘I am Will.’”
Been waiting for this one to drop for a while now. It’s probably the #1 song to bump in the car when you’re lookin’ fresh and ready to go out. Here’s 2 Chainz and Pharrell with their video for “Feds Watching”.
We’ve been seeing a lot of Pharrell lately whether it has to do with BBC, working wih Jay-Z, new music videos, or anything else under the sun. This guy does it all. Now here’s some footage of his “Happy” performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night!
We definitely didn’t see this coming, but apparently Will.i.am is claiming that Pharrell is infringing on his “I AM” brand and has taken legal action against him. Hopefully with both of them being super-artists they can work things out. Here’s what Pharrell had to say about the situation.
“I am disappointed that Will, a fellow artist, would file a case against me. I am someone who likes to talk things out and, in fact, I attempted to do just that on many occasions. I am surprised in how this is being handled and I am confident that Will’s trademark claims will ultimately be found to be as meritless and ridiculous as I do.”
Uh oh, does Nelly have a hit on his hands here? Working with people like Nicki Minaj and Pharrell sure sounds like it. This beat almost had a Clipse “Grindin” feel to it. We’re with it.
If you were watching the NBA Finals today, you probably should have stuck around for the halftime show instead of grabbing a refill of your drink. Jay-Z had a special announcement for everyone that he had scheduled for today at 6:15. The commercial, which featured the likes of Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and Rick Rubin in a room with Jay-Z as they go over beats and song concepts, and mid-commercial Jay-Z announces a July 4th release date. I don’t want to spoil it though, so just watch for yourself.
