Here’s what Floyd Mayweather had to say about the Marquez/Pacquiao Fight

We all expected Mayweather to hop on Twitter after the fight and go on a rant bout how Manny got knocked the F out, but it didn’t go down like that. Money May took the classy approach and had this to say…

“You live and you learn. The only thing [Pacquiao] can do is rejuvenate himself and bounce back like a true champion. Marquez is a true champion, Manny Pacquiao is a true champion, both of them went out there and put on a good performance, and that’s a good thing for the sport of boxing. I wish Pacquiao nothing but the best. I wish that he can bounce back and he can recoup from this…I feel bad for him, honestly. I really feel bad for him. There’s a difference in the ways you can get knocked out. See, when a guy gets knocked out and he can get up, they sit him on his stool, they rub his back, he go home and ice himself, you know, he go to the hospital and get checked out and he’s okay, that’s one thing. But, when you gotta wake a guy up with smelling salt and he got a concussion and he gotta go to the hospital overnight, that’s crucial. I mean, that’s close to death.”

Pusha T admits that “New God Flow” was a shot at Birdman

Pusha T sat down with HipHopWired recently and was asked about his track “New God Flow” with Kanye West. This is what he had to say about it…

“New God Flow” was about, in my view, something I read in a Birdman interview that I didn’t like. He said something like “G.O.O.D. Music isn’t nothing” and it had nothing to do with Wayne or Drake per se. That was Birdman saying whatever he wanted to say and that was the basis of where all of my lines came from. Everybody else was on their love of Hip-Hop s**t.

Drake says he is the first Person to Successfully Rap and Sing

Sometimes what rappers say can get them in trouble because of their ego, and this seems like one of those moments. Drake came out recently and said that he is the first person to successfully rap and sing at the same damn time. Is he right? There are a lot of rappers out there now that blend both singing and rapping but does Drake take the cake for top dog in that category? You be the judge.

“There were people who incorporated melody before me, but I would deem myself the first person to successfully rap and sing.” – Drake reflecting on his career to The Jewish Chronicle.

The Best High School Senior Year Quotes Ever

These girls all had the same last name in their high school year books and so they decided to go with a pretty clever quote to cap off their senior year. Get it?

Drake Says He Does not Want to Work w/ David Guetta

YES!!! Finally somebody important says it. Not sure if you’ve noticed but a lot of rappers have been going the whole “electro” route just to keep up internationally but it totally downplays what they can do in hip-hop. A lot of artists are selling out just to get the “club bangers” and Drake finally comes out to say that he does not want to go that direction. He specifically speaks on working with David Guetta and how that is not a route he would want to take. I’m sure he still has respect for what Guetta does, just not Drake’s style.

“For me, the David Guetta stuff just doesn’t work. I don’t really wanna go there. There’s other artists, that’s their sound. They feel in order to thrive internationally that they gotta do straightforward, four to the floor, David Guetta, Pitbull music. For me, I’d rather go to somebody like Jamie xx and tell him, ‘Look, I really wanna turn the club upside down, but I wanna do it with integrity, with soul.’” _ Source

Anne Hathaway’s Crazy Diet for Movie Role

Looks like Anne Hathaway has a pretty intense movie role coming up and has to be on a very strict diet. She is apparently eating only 500 calories a day to keep this up, whoa. Here’s what a representative from the movie production team had to say about the diet.

“Anne is playing a destitute factory worker [and] lady of the night. Unfortunately, she only has 15 to 20 days to lose as much weight as possible – up to [16 pounds] – because she’s been filming the scenes showing her fit and healthy, almost slightly chubby,” a source tells the paper. “It’s not ideal but, as with any high-budget movie, there are strict time constraints.” _ Source

Drake’s Opinion on Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” Single

Drake was interviewed the other day KISS FM and was asked what he thought about Justin Bieber and his new song “Boyfriend”, here’s what he had to say.

“I heard his single the other day and I am really proud of him, it sounds like growth. I wrote one song, I believe I am supposed to finish it this week. I am supposed to get back what he did. So we are kind of working long distance but that is someone I always looked out for. Obviously, being Canadian automatically bonded us, but getting to know him and everybody around him, he has a great team and he is really a great person and we get along very well. He’s like my little brother.” – Drake, on working with Bieber for his upcoming album Believe. _ Source

Gene Simmons Does not like Rihanna

Here’s what Gene Simmons had to say about Rihanna and new age of female superstars today. Sounds like he isn’t very happy about the scene.

“We’re sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them,” Simmons told the crowd at the press conference, reports Billboard.com. “No fake bull***t. Leave that to the Rihanna, Shmianna and anyone who ends their name with an ‘A.’”

Kevin Garnett Reveals why Rondo Played so Well Against the Knicks

There have been a lot of trade rumors surfacing about Rajon Rondo recently and people are assuming that’s why he played so hard last night. If you thinking that, then you are right. Kevin Garnett came out last night and gave his statement on why Rondo played so well, here’s what he had to say.

“Rondo’s line is one that I haven’t seen since I’ve been in the league,” KG said last night. “Very, very impressive. I had to come in here and give him some real [praise] after that. I saved the box score. Just as a witness that I was here and I actually got to see this up front and center…The thing about Lin is I think everybody who’s at the point guard position is going to be excited to play the kid. [Rondo[ was nothing short of that today. I could see it. I could tell. I’ve been around him to know when he’s motivated and when he’s more than motivated. Tonight was one of those nights. The trade talks really is a motivating factor for him. If you know Rondo, he’s an ‘I’ll-show-you’ type of person.”_ Source

A$AP Rocky Says he is Done with Fashion Name Dropping

This is what A$AP Rocky had to say about name dropping brands in his lyrics.

“It is what it is. I didn’t realise the importance until people made it a big deal. I’m gonna do this regardless. I might stop name-dropping though. I’m not even gonna rap about brands anymore because I don’t want people to think I’m doing it on purpose. If you see me, you see me; you don’t then you don’t. I don’t even wear stuff with monograms on it because I don’t want people to identify what I’m wearing. I don’t want no name brand tags and labels and all that. You’re supposed to try to figure out, “What does this dude have on right now?” Only a real fashion dude would know.”
