This news is really fresh and all the details aren’t there yet but apparently two explosions went off near the finish line at the Boston Marathon. Witnesses said several victims lost limbs in the area being evacuated. Many of the injured appeared to be spectators. Click HERE for more info.
Just when we thought Usain Bolt was done with all the winning he comes out and does it again for the 200-meter race. This makes him the first man to ever repeat as double Olympic sprint champion. After the race Bolt said “It’s what I came here to do, I am now a legend”. He also added “I’m also the greatest athlete to live. I’ve got nothing left to prove”.
Two years ago Titans running back Chris Johnson said that he could beat Usain Bolt in a race if he trained for it and this year he has said it again. We don’t actually believe this could happen since two years ago Usain Bolt agreed to race him but CJ never showed up. Guess that’s a lot of confidence for a running back who’s had quite the fall off recently. Here’s what Chris Johnson said about the possibility of yet another race…
“I feel like if I would have kept training for track I’d have a chance,” he says, “but I play football and he runs track, so it’s totally different. I think I could still probably beat him in the 40. If I actually trained for the distance he trained for, I think I’d have a chance.”
Most racetracks are constructed so well that they last for decades after use has discontinued and unless they are made into housing developments, they will often stand the test of time and the Autódromo de Sitges-Terramar is no exception to that rule.
Constructed way back in 1922 after just 300 days of work, the Terramar circuit was only used for 3 years before it was abandoned and has never been used since, until now. Professional racing drivers Carlos Sainz and Miguel Molina recently took a Red Bull-sponsored Audi R8 LMSracer to the 60 degree banked circuit to put on what can only be described as a true work of art.
In addition to the eight minute long video accompanying the article, a selection of incredible pictures were also shot during the occasion. Despite the track being broken, bruised, and battered, it would have been an incredible experience for the two-time WRC champion and DTM racers. _ Source
