806 Million views, that’s how many views the video “Gangnam Style” has received on YouTube surpassing Justin Bieber’s “Baby”. This one will probably get into the billions soon especially after reporting the record setting number today. Congratulations to PSY on this huge accomplishment.
Grinnell College’s Jack Taylor scores NCAA record 138 Points
So this guy named Jack Taylor that plays for Grinnell College thought he was never going to snap out of a cold streak, he was very wrong. Dude ended up scoring an NCAA record 138 points by shooting 52-of-108 from the field, 27-of-71 from 3-point range, and 7-of-10 from the free throw line. The final score of the game against Faith Baptist Bible College was 179 to 104. Wow, this was simply amazing, the kid is about to get some heavy media coverage for a while. Click HERE for more info.
Lil’ Wayne breaks Elvis’ Billboard Record
For some of the haters out there that think Lil’ Wayne is done focusing on music, take a step back and look at this. “Celebration” the song with Game, Wiz, and Tyga has entered the #82 spot on the Billboard charts which means that Lil’ Wayne has now been on there 109 times, beating Elvis’ previous record of 108. Congratulations to Lil’ Wayne for having such a successful music career, this is huge.

Looks like there’s a new king of “Likes” on YouTube and that is PSY’s “Gangnam Style” music video. If you haven’t heard this song or seen the video by now then you must not own a smart phone or ever get on the computer. That’s fine and all, but we’ve got it below just in case. The old record on YouTube was 1.5 million “likes”, but it has been shattered now with 2.5 million likes on “Gangnam Style”. This guy might be one of the biggest one hit wonders in the world or there’s much more to come. Can’t wait to see the next project PSY releases.
Mac Miller’s “Knock Knock” Goes Gold
He won’t stop can’t stop. Still very impressed with Mac Miller being an independent artist and this being his 2nd gold album. No label or anything and the kid made around $8 million in 2011. Wow.
Dwight Howard Breaks Wilt Chamberlain’s Record
Last night Dwight Howard dropped 45 points and grabbed 23 boards to lead the Magic in a win over the Golden State Warriors. Howard broke Wilt Chamberlain’s record of most free throws attempted by going to the line 39 times, the previous record was 34. This is a huge accomplishment and hopefully he can keep killin’ it this season.
Mac App Store hits 100 Million Downloads in One year
That’s a lot of clicks. Since the launch of the Mac App Store in January this year, there have been 100 million unique downloads recorded. Just in case you don’t know what unique means, it’s different people every time. This record makes the Cupertino company the largest software retailer in the United States. Of course Microsoft is also reporting the launch of their own app store to go with Windows 8.
The Numbers Are In: Mac Miller Sets Billboard History
Well the first week’s numbers are in and Mac Miller’s album “Blue Slide Park” has set billboard history by being the first album in 16 years to debut independently at number 1. Pretty big deal here considering that he is not signed to any major labels and relies solely on the support of his fans. Congrats to Mac Miller and the whole Most Dope movement on all 418,915 units.
Chris Brown breaks Today Show Record for Attendance
Some may still have a lot of negative things to say about Chris Brown, but when you look at the numbers… the dude is #winning. He set a television record on the Today Show by having the highest attendance for a live performance with 18,000 people. Click here to watch those performances.
