As we all know the big jump happened yesterday as 8 million viewers tuned in. Above is a video from Baumgartner’s headcam showing us what he saw while in space. It’s amazing to see what humans can do these days.
Seattle’s own @fourcolorzack took his talents close to South Beach over the weekend, where he became the 2012 National Champion for the RedBull Thre3style DJ Competition. Zack’s journey began here in Seattle. The Red Bull Thre3style here was hosted by Rich Kids’ own @McClarron and featured some of the city’s best DJs. Zack came out the victor, and moved on to the regional competition in San Francisco.
In San Fran, Zack was the underdog with a slew of local DJ’s highly favored by the local crowd. Zack’s talents were not overlooked or understated though, and he ended up smashing the competition for a victory there as well, becoming the West Coast champ and earning a spot in the National Final.
On Saturday night in Orlando, Zack took to the stage, clearly a man on a mission. When the dust finally settled FourcolorZack was crowned the King of the Three3style, earning National Championship honors, and a spot in the International Final which will be hosted in Chicago in August.
Stay tuned to the RK Blog, as we’ll have information on the winner of the international final as well. Props to FourcolorZack!
Most racetracks are constructed so well that they last for decades after use has discontinued and unless they are made into housing developments, they will often stand the test of time and the Autódromo de Sitges-Terramar is no exception to that rule.
Constructed way back in 1922 after just 300 days of work, the Terramar circuit was only used for 3 years before it was abandoned and has never been used since, until now. Professional racing drivers Carlos Sainz and Miguel Molina recently took a Red Bull-sponsored Audi R8 LMSracer to the 60 degree banked circuit to put on what can only be described as a true work of art.
In addition to the eight minute long video accompanying the article, a selection of incredible pictures were also shot during the occasion. Despite the track being broken, bruised, and battered, it would have been an incredible experience for the two-time WRC champion and DTM racers. _ Source
This is a pretty cool concept that Red Bull has started. They have big music artists come through and perform in their studios and this time A$AP Rocky came through to perform “Pretty Flacko”. Here’s the footage.
Chaleo Yoovidhya founded Red Bull in 1982 with Austrian businessman Dietrich Mateschitz. They are both worth $4-5 billion from Red Bull. He died on March 18th in Thailand, which is March 17th here in the states. Red Bull has become a huge company from the efforts of Yoovidhya and Mateschitz. Yoovidhya’s son, Chalerm is also a minority owner of the company and will likely be the successor to Chaleo’s position at Red Bull.
This places looks crazy cool. I wish the pigeons here were that cool. Backflips really?!!?! HAHA. Dope.
