The 2012 XXL Freshmen list came out recently and a lot of people seem to be against it. Some of the artists seem like they just paid to be on there but shouldn’t have made it at all, oh well maybe next year. I personally still like a lot of people on the list and love when the freestyles start coming out. So here’s the first cypher released so far from Hopsin, Roscoe Dash, Machine Gun Kelly, Future, and Danny Brown.
The XXL Freshman list is finally out and the new members are Future, Kid Ink, Danny Bronson, French Montana, Macklemore, Don Trip, Machine Gun Kelly, Hopsin, Iggy Azalea, and Roscoe Dash. What do you think of this year’s list?
So as you may know the 2012 XXL Freshmen nominees were just posted not too long ago and there are a lot of good people up for the prize. I’m hoping everyone is voting for Macklemore but also wanted to share who I think will be on the list. The following artists are just the ones that I think will make it in my opinion, but we’d like to hear from you who you also. Last year 11 artists made it so I will base it off that. “Sidity” came out a couple days ago but at the time I couldn’t generate a player for it. Since I like the song so much I figured it would still be a good idea to throw it up here. Really like what beats Roscoe Dash has been choosing, Big Sean great as always.
I think this music video came out yesterday or the day before but I just came across it. Roscoe Dash has been featured in a lot of songs recently and seems to be the go to man for a great hook. His most recent collaboration has been on Big Sean’s Finally Famous smash hit “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay” featuring Kanye West. Not many people look for Roscoe Dash when it comes to solo projects and so that’s why I decided to post this song, “Awesome”. The beat is bananas and that midget Rick Ross at the end of the video has to be the best part. Here ya go.
Even though Waka is set on retiring next year, he’s still got some new music coming out. Waka usually isn’t my favorite rapper but this song goes hard. Here it is “Swish”.
This song JUST leaked off Finally Famous the album. Kanye accompanies Big Sean and Roscoe Dash on this one to make an instant classic. Seriously this song is too dope, here ya go.
