Wanna know why Drake didn’t attend the Grammy nomination event? Well that’s because he loved Seattle so much that he had to stay and hang out. One of the most publicized events was him hanging out with the Seahawks and giving out “lots of hugs”. Always good to see artists of his caliber give love back to the city. Enjoy more pics below.
The Mariners and Robinson Cano have agreed to terms after several days of communication. The contract, which will give Cano $240 million over 10 years, is one of the biggest in MLB history. There are reports Seattle was under the impression that a nine year, $225 million deal would get the job done, but Cano’s agency (Jay Z himself was present) pushed for 10 years and $252 million, which would have tied A-Rod for largest MLB contract ever. At about 3am this morning right here in Seattle, they finally came to agreement to bring Cano to the M’s. Cano has to pass a physical on Monday and then the deal will be official. Great look for the town!
Man, Derrick Rose has really had it rough lately. Right when we’re all ready for him to come back and play at his best he gets injured again and has to sit out an entire season. What are we to think? Wait for him again and maybe he’ll come back better than ever? Well that’s what everyone was expecting until he got hurt this time. It’s good to hear though that Derrick Rose himself is still hopeful and has not ruled out playing in the playoffs this season. The Miami Heat are clearly the dominant force in the East with the Pacers, but other than that… what other East Coast team is giving them a run? It would be nice to see D. Rose back at 100% during the playoffs. Guess we’ll just have to wait. Click HERE for the full story.
Guess you gotta get some sings before you can star in a major film. Lebron has been waiting to be the lead in a movie for a long time and will finally get the chance in a new movie called “Ballers”. The film will also star Kevin Hart as James’ little brother who is always living in the shadow of his famous brother. Filming is supposed to start in the Summer once the NBA season is over. Can’t wait to see this one. Click HERE for more info.
So next time you want to talk sh*t to your elders you might want to think again, some of them still got it. Here’s a prime example of an Arizona State student learning the lesson in the worst way possible. Boom! Fat kick to the face. Check out the video below.
Turkish Airlines thought of a pretty dope campaign to promote their flights going to more countries than ever now. They got Kobe Bryant and soccer star Lionell Messi to have a “selfie battle” all over the world with their phones. It gets pretty intense. Check out the full commercial below…
We’re not 49er fans over here, but this play right here needs some shine. Vernon Davis straight jumps over dude trying to tackle him. That’s one super athletic move especially for a TE. Check it out below.
Man, this is a sad story. Former NFL Wide Receiver, Sam Hurd, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison stemming from an arrest in December of 2011. Hurd has been in jail since June of last year waiting to hear his fate, and he finally got it yesterday. He is charged with attempting to purchase and distribute large quantities of cocaine and marijuana. We hate to see stuff like this.
They made this commercial to promote the sales of NBA Christmas uniforms. That’s cool and all that they have new uniforms but this commercial is awesome! Lebron comes in at the end for the slam too. Check it out below…
This might be one of the funniest videos on the internet today. Key and Peele sure know how to take the smallest situations and make them hilarious. Here’s their version of the “excessive celebration” penalty in the NFL. Check it out below…
