UK brand O’Blue Thrasion has created some interesting accessories in their skate jewelry. These unusual handcrafted pieces of jewelry are made from old thrashed and broken skateboard decks. They make everything from belt buckles, to earrings, to cufflinks, to keychains, to even more.
From O’Blue:
“Skateboards are made from a 7 ply Canadian maple with a coloured, printed or stained outer layer.
Each piece is lovingly handcrafted and finished with beeswax which brings out the natural grain and colour of the wood.
To make each piece of jewelry as ethical and eco-friendly as possible only the broken pieces of skateboard have been used. No two boards are ever the same so each piece is unique.”
You can even donate your own skateboard and in return they’ll pay you back for the shipping costs, and make you a custom piece out of your board! Can’t beat that. I’m sending my old deck in soon!
