John Wall is upset about a game that doesn’t mean much to most players, the Rookies vs. Sophomores challenge. He had this to say about being selected 12th for the game. I’d say chill out bro, you’re on one of the worst teams in the league right now, that’s why you got picked so low.
“It’s a joke to me. If they think there are 11 guys better than me, then that’s their decision. But I know what I think in my mind and all I can do is go out there and play basketball the way I know how to play.”
I knew this was coming. When you do a performance with an exorcism in it during the Grammys and walk in with a pretend pope, the Catholic church will get upset. Here’s what Catholic League president Bill Donohue had to say about Nicki Minaj’s performance.
“Nicki Minaj, fresh off looking like a fool with Madonna at the Super Bowl, showed up last night on the red carpet at the Grammys with a guy dressed like the pope. This was just a prelude of what was to come.”
“Minaj’s performance began on stage with a mock confessional skit. This was followed by a taped video depicting a mock exorcism. With stained glass in the background, she appeared on stage again with choir boys and monks dancing.”
“Perhaps the most vulgar part was the sexual statement that showed a scantily clad female dancer stretching backwards while an altar boy knelt between her legs in prayer. Finally, “Come All Ye Faithful” was sung while a man posing as a bishop walked on stage; Minaj was shown levitating.”
“None of this was by accident, and all of it was approved by The Recording Academy, which puts on the Grammys. Whether Minaj is possessed is surely an open question, but what is not in doubt is the irresponsibility of The Recording Academy. Never would they allow an artist to insult Judaism or Islam.”
“It’s bad enough that Catholics have to fight for their rights vis-à-vis a hostile administration in Washington without also having to fend off attacks in the entertainment industry. The net effect, however, will only embolden Catholics, as well as their friends in other faith communities”
I understand that Chris Brown beat up Rihanna a super long time ago and it was a very bad thing, but does that mean he should just stop with music completely and go off in a corner and die? This correspondent on Fox News did a report on how repulsed she was that Chris Brown set a record on The Today Show for attendance. We don’t post many opinions on here but I think she went a little far with how she reported. He’s not going to stop making hits lady. The music is great and when it comes down to that, he will always win. Good luck changing the minds of Americans all across the nation. She went as far as attributing these issues to teen suicide and depression. Chill out lady…
